Premier League Darts 2026: Schedule, venues, players, format, prize money as Luke Humphries defends title against Luke Littler and other rivals

The world's best darts players will face off in the 2026 BetMGM Premier League Darts tournament, a 17-night extravaganza that kicks off on February 5 and culminates in Finals Night at London's O2 Arena. The competition, which has been part of the PDC Darts schedule since 2005, sees eight top players - Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Gian van Veen, Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton, Gerwyn Price, Josh Rock, and Stephen Bunting - battle it out for a share of £1.25 million in prize money.

Defending champion Luke Humphries will face stiff competition from the talented teenager Luke Littler, who won his second world title at the start of January. World No 3 Gian van Veen makes his Premier League Darts debut, while Michael van Gerwen is fourth in the PDC rankings and secured an automatic spot with top four players guaranteed a place.

The tournament format involves each night's winner earning £10,000 as they compete in a series of quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a best-of-19 legs final. The top four players will advance to the Play-Offs on Finals Night, where they will face off in a best-of-21 legs match for the title.

The 2026 Premier League champion will receive £350,000, an increase of £75,000 compared to last year's winner. The runner-up and semi-finalists will earn £170,000, £110,000, and £95,000 respectively, with the eighth-placed player earning £80,000.

"Believe you can and you're halfway there." 🏆 - The competition is going to be fierce, but I think the increased prize money will definitely bring out the best in these players. It's exciting to see Luke Littler taking on some of the seasoned veterans like Michael van Gerwen. Will he be able to hold his own and make a name for himself? 🤔

Man, this darts tournament is gonna be crazy 🔥! But you know what's even crazier? How fast our lives can go by! Like, one day we're throwing darts for fun, and the next, we're fighting for a share of £1.25 million 💸. It makes me think, what are we really playing for in life? Is it just about winning prizes or is it about growth, learning, and pushing ourselves to be better people? 🤔 I mean, Gian van Veen's making his debut and Michael van Gerwen's got a spot secured with the top four. That's like getting that first job and crushing it from day one 🎯! The point is, life's not just about winning; it's about how we play the game, being resilient, adapting, and staying focused. So, let's all take a cue from these darts pros and remember to stay humble, learn from our losses, and keep on improving 💪!

I don't know man... I mean, I'm totally stoked for the darts tournament but like, have you seen the prize money? It's a lot, no doubt about it 🤑. £350k for the winner is insane! But at the same time, I think it's kinda weird that the 8th place player only gets £80k... like, what's up with that? Shouldn't they get more recognition or something? 🤔

And can we talk about how crowded the O2 Arena is gonna be for Finals Night? It's gonna be sold out, no doubt! But on the other hand, it'll be so lit for all the fans who get to see their favorite players go head-to-head. The energy will be electric! 💥

omg, i'm so hyped for this tournament!!! 🎉 the prize money is insane, especially the champion's share of £350k... that's life-changing 💸 but, gotta be real, it's gonna be a tough battle between these top players. gian van Veen's debut is gonna be interesting to watch, and i'm loving the underdog story of luke littler 🤩 still got faith in michael van gerwen though, he's always a threat 💪 and the format looks like a lot of fun, who doesn't love a good competition at the end? 💥
