Spanish-inspired restaurant Antidote coming to Detroit’s East Village - Detroit Metro Times

New Spanish-Inspired Restaurant Antidote Set to Open in Detroit's East Village

Detroit entrepreneur Nya Marshall is expanding her dining empire in the city's East Village with the upcoming launch of Spanish-inspired restaurant Antidote. The eatery, located at 14628 E. Jefferson Ave., is set to throw open its doors on Monday, January 19.

According to a press release, Antidote's menu is rooted in traditional Spanish cuisine but incorporates global influences and techniques to create a truly unique flavor profile. Dishes such as mussels and chorizo, Catalan-style cod, and Basque cheesecake are just a few examples of the restaurant's offerings. The menu's focus on Mediterranean technique and international flavors promises an exciting culinary experience for patrons.

In addition to its extensive menu options, Antidote also boasts a creative cocktail program featuring wines and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests can enjoy brunch, dinner, or late-night bites in a welcoming atmosphere, with private dining options available for special occasions.

Notably, the restaurant occupies the former space of Norma G's, a Caribbean-inspired eatery that closed its doors in 2023. This latest venture marks another milestone in Marshall's culinary expansion, following the opening of Ivy Kitchen and Cocktails in 2020.
