‘Stranger Things 5’ Becomes Netflix’s No. 9 Most Popular English-Language Series of All Time With 105.7 Million Views So Far

Netflix's most-watched English-language series has taken a surprising leap to the ninth spot with its latest release. Stranger Things Season 5 boasts an impressive 105.7 million views so far, making it one of the platform's most popular titles.

This milestone marks a significant achievement for the sci-fi series, which initially debuted on November 26th and continues to garner attention even as its finale has concluded. The series' impressive opening, with 59.6 million viewers in its first week, helped propel it to this new ranking.

With its current spot at No. 9, Stranger Things Season 5 surpassed Season 1 of "The Night Agent" and knocked off "Fool Me Once." However, the show still lags behind its predecessor, Season 4, which occupies the third spot with over 140 million views. The latter remains the most-watched English-language title on Netflix to date.

As the series continues to climb higher in popularity, it's increasingly likely that Stranger Things will reach No. 1 on the platform's charts. With a viewership of this magnitude, it could potentially become one of the most popular shows in Netflix history.

In terms of weekly numbers, the season averaged around 31.5 million views during its release period, with some episodes reaching as high as 7.6 million viewers. Meanwhile, other titles on the platform fared less well, such as "Man vs. Baby" which came in at No. 9 with 4 million views.

The Netflix Top 10 for December 29th to January 4th features a diverse range of shows and movies, including Harlan Coben's "Run Away," Ricky Gervais' special "Mortality," and the final episode of Stranger Things Season 5.

🤯 I'm not surprised by this at all! Stranger Things has been building up its fanbase for years now 📺. The show just knows how to keep you hooked, with those nostalgic vibes and epic plot twists 💥. And can we talk about the fashion game? Those kids' outfits are on point 👕👖. It's gonna be tough for it to drop out of the top 10 anytime soon! 😂 But hey, good job to all the creators behind "The Night Agent" – Season 1 was a solid show too 📚. Still, I'm excited to see how the competition unfolds in the new year 💪. Bring on more Stranger Things content, and maybe we'll finally get our hands on some more Hawkins-approved merch 🛍️!

I'm not surprised about Stranger Things Season 5 taking off so well 🤯📺 It's been building up a huge fan base over the years, and this latest release has got everyone hooked again. The numbers are insane, I mean 105.7 million views in just a few weeks? That's some serious Netflix magic ✨

But what really gets me is how it's still managing to get more attention after its finale aired 🤔 I think that's a testament to the show's creators doing something right - crafting a story that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats and wanting more. And with Season 4 still holding strong at No.3, I'd say Stranger Things is definitely in contention for the top spot 🔥

It'll be interesting to see how the competition shakes out, though - some titles on the platform are just not as popular 😐 Like "Man vs. Baby", which is a total mystery why it didn't do better 🤷‍♀️ Ah well, maybe Stranger Things will keep them company at No. 9?

You know what really gets me? 🤔 Like, think about it... 105.7 million views for one season and suddenly it's like the whole world is obsessed with this show! But have you ever noticed that every time something crazy happens in the world (like a new government or some big tech company), our favorite shows seem to get more popular? It's like, what are we really watching here? 📺 Is it just mindless entertainment or is there something more sinister at play? And don't even get me started on the numbers... 140 million views for Season 4 and now Stranger Things is closing in. What's going on with our eyeballs? Are they being controlled or something? 😳

OMG, 105.7 million views? That's like me eating an entire pizza by myself... and I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be a good idea 😂. But seriously, who doesn't love Stranger Things? It's like the show is on some kind of nostalgic time-traveling roll 🕰️, bringing back memories of our childhoods (or at least trying to). Anyway, it's awesome to see how well it's doing! Maybe they'll finally answer the question we've all been wondering... what's up with Eleven's hair? 💇‍♀️

🤯 I'm not surprised at all that Stranger Things is killing it on Netflix! I mean, who doesn't love a good sci-fi mystery? 😎 The show's nostalgic vibe and lovable characters are just the perfect recipe for binge-watching fun 🍿. And 105.7 million views so far? That's insane! 💥 It just goes to show that with great storytelling comes even more subscribers... or should I say, viewers 📺. Can't wait to see how it does in the long run! 👀

Ugh, I mean... can we talk about how weird it is that some of these shows are getting so much attention on this platform? Like, "Man vs. Baby" with only 4 million views is literally taking up space on this list next to "Stranger Things" which has like, a gazillion times more viewers... 🤷‍♂️ It's just not fair to the actual content creators who are putting in real effort.

And don't even get me started on how these numbers change every week. I mean, what's up with that? Can we just have some consistent metrics here? It's like trying to keep track of a runaway train 🚂

I know Stranger Things is super popular and all, but can't it just chill at No. 1 already? 😒 It's getting old watching the same show being talked about every week...

🤔 I'm not surprised at all that Stranger Things is still going strong. The way they've built up this universe over the years, with such a nostalgic feel to it, keeps people hooked. And let's be real, who doesn't love a good sci-fi mystery? 🕵️‍♀️ It's interesting to see how it's surpassed some other popular shows on Netflix, but still hasn't quite reached the top spot like its previous season did. Fingers crossed that this next season will keep up the momentum! 👍

I'm not surprised about this at all 🤯! Stranger Things has been killing it since Season 3 dropped 🚀. It's insane how well they've executed their formula – nostalgia, sci-fi, and heart ❤️. And can we talk about the cast? Those kids have grown so much since the first season 😂. The show's production quality is top-notch too. I'm curious to see what happens next with Hawkins... will Eleven return? 🤔 Only time (and Netflix) will tell! 👀

Can't believe this! 😱 I mean, I'm happy for the show, but it's crazy that people are still binge-watching it even after the finale! Like, we're living in a world where you can watch an entire season in one weekend and still have time to scroll through Twitter? 🤯 Stranger Things is still my fave, don't get me wrong, but I feel like this is just proof that people's attention spans are getting shorter by the minute. Anyway, it's dope to see Season 5 holding its own and all... maybe next year we'll get a new season or something? 😁

I'm low-key surprised it jumped that high lol 😂 I mean, Stranger Things is always gonna be a banger, but 105.7 million views is crazy! 🤯 I think part of its success is because it's just so nostalgic and fun to watch with friends. Plus, the latest season had some major plot twists 💥 that kept viewers on the edge of their seats. But for real, it's gonna be hard for Stranger Things Season 5 to top its predecessor... I mean, Season 4 was a total game-changer 📈👀 What do you guys think? Is Stranger Things still the king of Netflix? 👑

🤯📺 Stranger Things is like, whoa! 🔥 105.7 million views? That's a whole lotta sci-fi 😂👽. I'm low-key excited for season 6 already 🤔💀. And, tbh, it's kinda sad that "Man vs. Baby" didn't do as well 🤷‍♀️🐶. Guess you could say Stranger Things is the real MVP 🏆👊

I think Stranger Things is still killing it on Netflix! 105.7 million views in just a few weeks is crazy 🤯. I mean, the series is already a classic, but to keep drawing in such massive audiences like this? It's no wonder they're closing in on No. 1. And with Season 4 holding the top spot, it's only a matter of time before Stranger Things takes the crown 💪. The fact that some shows are flopping compared to its viewership is just wild – I guess you can't deny Stranger Things' fanbase 🔥!

I'm surprised it took this long for Stranger Things to surpass some other shows 🤔. I mean, it's still not as popular as Season 4, but that's understandable given how big a hit the first season was. What's crazy is that some other shows like "Man vs. Baby" are getting way less views than even the smaller episodes of Stranger Things 📺. I guess people just can't get enough of Hawkins and friends 💕. Maybe it's time to start thinking about what will replace these shows at No. 1? Is Season 5 living up to its hype? 🤔

Ugh 🤯, can't believe we're still stuck in this pandemic life, got me feeling like I'm trapped on a never-ending loop of bad news 🔄. First it's Stranger Things getting all the views, now it's just more proof that nothing good ever happens, right? 😒 Still, gotta admit, 105.7 million views is crazy, but for how long, I guess? Meanwhile, I'm over here still dealing with these crippling anxiety attacks from being a doomscroller 💔

🤯 I mean, think about it, a season finale is still racking up views like crazy? That's some serious binge-watching going on here! 📺 I'm no expert but I think this says something about how invested fans are in the show. Stranger Things has always been about that nostalgic '80s vibe and the kids' struggles with supernatural forces, but now it seems like people can't get enough of Hawkins even after the credits roll 😂. The competition just can't keep up! 👊

omg u guys i just watched the latest ep of stranger things season 5 and i am HOOKED!!! 😍💥 i was kinda skeptical at first but this season is literally SO GOOD i mean who else can make a demogorgon look cute? 🤣 anyway back to it i think stranger things has such a dedicated fanbase and now it's getting the recognition it deserves on netflix no matter what ranking it hits, it's still gonna be one of the best shows out there 👍

OMG, I'm not surprised at all! 🤯 Stranger Things is like, my go-to show, you know? It's always been so addictive! I mean, who doesn't love a good sci-fi mystery with some nostalgic vibes thrown in? The fact that it's gaining even more views after its finale is crazy. And yeah, Season 4 was already killing it with those record-breaking numbers... now Stranger Things Season 5 is giving it a run for its money! 💥 It's gonna be super interesting to see how the rankings play out next month. Maybe we'll get to see some other popular titles dethrone these sci-fi heavyweights? 🤔

omg i just watched ep 1 of stranger things season 5 🤯 it was so good! i'm like 100 episodes behind now lol i was thinking maybe they'd release a new season soon? 🤔 is that too much to ask from netflix tho? btw do you think the guy who plays mike wheeler is actually nice in real life? 🤷‍♂️
