Taliban accuses Pakistan of killing 10 – including nine children – in strikes on Afghanistan

Pakistani Forces Accuse Afghan Taliban of Ordering Strikes That Killed 10 People, Including Nine Children

The Taliban has vehemently denied allegations by Pakistani forces that they were behind a series of airstrikes in eastern Afghanistan that killed at least 10 people - including nine children - in strikes on Khost province.

According to the Taliban's spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, the Pakistani military launched an attack on a local civilian resident's home, resulting in the deaths of nine children and one woman. Four civilians were also wounded in air raids targeting Kunar and Paktika provinces.

The Pakistani government has thus far refused to comment on the allegations, fueling speculation about their involvement in the strikes. The incident follows a suicide attack on a security compound in Pakistan's Peshawar city, which killed three officers and injured 11 others.

President Asif Zardari of Pakistan blamed the attacks on Afghan nationals linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a militant group based in Afghanistan that Islamabad accuses of conducting operations from its soil. The claim comes amidst strained relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which have been tense since the Taliban took power in 2021.

In recent months, both countries have accused each other of harbouring hostile groups. In October, deadly border clashes killed over 70 people on both sides, sparking a ceasefire brokered by Qatar and Turkey. However, talks in Istanbul to resolve security issues and Pakistani demands for Kabul to curb TTP fighters have stalled, with Islamabad accusing the Taliban of sheltering the militants.

The Afghan government denies these allegations, suggesting that Pakistan is not respecting Afghanistan's sovereignty.

omg u guys i just cant even right now its like so sad those 9 kids were killed and thats on top of all the other stuff that's been going on in afghanistan lol pakistan and afghanistan have been at each other throats for ages but this is just so tragic 🤕 anyway president zardari says the attacks are linked to ttp fighters based in afghanistan but i dont no how true that is its all so confusing 🤔

Umm this is getting outta hand... like both countries are playing a game of "who can blame who" 4 real? 🤦‍♂️ The whole situation in Afghanistan just seems to be a mess, and now we got Pakistani forces accusing the Taliban of launching airstrikes that killed innocent people, while the Taliban's denying it all. It's like they're trying to spin this as some kinda "false flag" operation by Pakistan... but if that was the case, wouldn't someone from Pakistan come forward & claim responsibility? 🤔 I mean, President Zardari blaming Afghan nationals linked to TTP just seems like a cop-out... or maybe it's a clever distraction? Either way, this whole situation is super volatile & just waiting for things to escalate. 😬

idk man 🤔 i mean, pakistan's saying afghan taliban did it? but then they're all like "we didn't do it" 🙅‍♂️ and now they're blaming the afghans for harbouring ttp fighters... what's up with that 😕 if you ask me.
but at the same time, i guess it makes sense that both countries are accusing each other of harbouring hostile groups? 🤷‍♂️ it's like they're just stuck in this cycle of mistrust and blame 🔄.
i mean, what if pakistan is right? 🤔 and afghan taliban really did order those airstrikes? but then wouldn't that be a major breach of international law and human rights? 🚫
and on the other hand, if the afghan gov is telling the truth and pakistan's just making it up... 😒 then doesn't that sound like a pretty big cover-up? 🤥

🤔 this whole situation is so messed up 🙅‍♂️ i mean what are we even doing here? both countries are just trying to point fingers at each other instead of working together to fix the problem 🤦‍♂️ it's like they're saying "you did it" and then expecting the other guy to be all like "nope not me, you must have done it" 😒 this whole thing just feels so unfair to those 9 innocent kids who lost their lives 💔

omg afghanistan pakistan situation getting super complicated 🤯 like what if pak gov really behind this airstrike tho? that would explain why theyre so quiet about it lol but at the same time if taliban is innocent then pakistan should be more forthcoming with info 🙄 and honestly who knows what's real here? both sides got some heavy accusations on each other and im not sure whats gonna come outta these talks in istanbul 🤔

🤔 I'm so done with these airstrikes in eastern Afghanistan 🌪️. Like, can't we all just get along? 😒 The constant accusations between Pakistani and Afghan forces are getting out of hand 💥. First, it's the Talibans saying Pakistan is behind the strikes, then Pakistan says it's the Afghans who are harbouring militant groups... what's going on here? 🤯 And now we've got civilians getting killed, including kids 🌟. It's a total mess 📦. I wish both countries could just communicate and resolve their issues without resorting to violence 💔. Can't we find a way to stop these airstrikes and start working towards peace instead of perpetuating this cycle of retaliation? 🤞

😕 theyre just swapin blame game again 🙄 this incident got alot of ppl wonderin why pakistan cant just speak up and stop them airstrikes 💔 9 kids lost their lives including 👧🏻 one year old and 2 teen agers in those airstrikes 🤯 what more evidence do pakistani forces need to prove that taliban is behind it all? 🤷‍♂️

This is heartbreaking 🤕. Thinking about those 9 children, including a 6-year-old, who lost their lives in just one air raid... it's like, what's the point of war? Can't we all just try to be kind to each other? 😔 The fact that Pakistan and Afghanistan are accusing each other is so frustrating - they need to work together to find peace. It's not like one country's "sovereignty" is more important than human lives 🙅‍♀️. I can only imagine how hard it must be for the families of those who lost their lives... my heart goes out to them 💔.

idk why ppl cant just get along 🤷‍♂️, afghanistan & pakistan r goin at it agen... pakistani forces sayin the taliban r behind airstikes killin innocent ppl, but the taliban are all like "nope, ur military launched the attack" 🚫. its so confusing! i think both sides have a point tho, afghanistan needs to crack down on ttp fighters, but pakistan cant just stand by & do nothin... maybe sum sorta ceasefire is in order? 🤞

🤕 This is just heartbreaking - 9 kids lost their lives in one airstrike. Can't even imagine how scary it must've been for them and their families... 🙏 The blame game between Pak & Afghan govts is getting old, it's time they focus on finding a peaceful solution to these issues instead of pointing fingers at each other. 😔

🤔 This whole situation just gets more and more complicated by the day... Like what's going on between those two countries, it feels like they're stuck in a never-ending loop of accusations and blame-shifting 🔄 I mean, one minute they're saying the other is behind some attack, the next they're accusing the other of harboring militant groups 🤦‍♂️ And then there's the fact that innocent civilians are getting caught in the middle, losing their lives or getting hurt 💔 It's just heartbreaking, you know? I wish both countries could just take a deep breath and try to communicate properly instead of resorting to all this back-and-forth 🙏

🤔 this whole situation is just so sad... can't believe all those kids lost their lives in such a tragic way 🙏 it seems like both countries are pointing fingers and no one wants to take responsibility for what's happening. the afghan gov says pakistan's not respecting their sovereignty, but pakistan claims they're trying to protect themselves from ttp attacks 🤷‍♂️ it's hard to know what's true when there are so many conflicting stories out there. can we just have a peaceful resolution to this already? 🙏💔

Wow 🤯 this situation between Pakistan & Afghanistan is getting more complex by the day! The fact that 9 children were killed in air raids on Khost province is just heartbreaking 💔 and I can see why tensions are running high. The allegations of Pakistan's involvement in the strikes, while not confirmed, don't help ease the situation at all 😬 Interesting how both countries are accusing each other of harbouring hostile groups... who will blink first? 🤝

Ugh 🤕 this whole situation is so messed up... like I don't even know where to start. On one hand, you've got the 10 people - including those precious kids 🙏 - who lost their lives in these airstrikes. That's just heartbreaking and senseless. And then on the other hand, you've got the Taliban and Pakistan accusing each other of being behind the strikes... it feels like a never-ending cycle of blame and mistrust.

And can we talk about how both countries are basically pointing fingers at each other? 🤦‍♂️ It's like they're not even trying to find out what really happened. I mean, is it possible that there's some truth to the allegations, but both sides just don't want to admit it?

It's also crazy to think about how this all started after the Taliban took power in 2021 🤔. Like, I get that tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have always been high, but this whole situation feels so... complicated. And what really gets me is how both sides are accusing each other of not respecting sovereignty... like who's the real victim here? 🤷‍♂️

😂🤣🚀 Drones of drama, again! 🚫💥 Who needs peace when you can blame each other? 🙅‍♂️👊 Both sides looking for a scapegoat, while the real puppets pulling the strings stay hidden in the shadows 😏🕵️‍♂️
