The conversation continues as Jordan Uhl and Spencer Neff discuss the recent events with ICE, CBP, and their actions.
Jordan Uhl: "Spencer, you mentioned that this is not something that can be reformed. It's a fundamental change in the way these agencies operate. What do you think is the best course of action to stop this?"
Spencer Neff: "Well, Jordan, I think we're at a point where we need to organize and build power amongst like-minded people in our area to produce a function. We can't rely on our politicians to do this on their own. We need to create a critical mass of opposition that makes it clear that this is not acceptable."
Jordan Uhl: "That's a great point, Spencer. And I think you're right that we need to start building towards abolishing ICE and CBP altogether. But how do we do that? Do we need to start a national movement?"
Spencer Neff: "I think that's exactly what we need to do. We need to build a national movement that demands an end to these agencies' activities. And we need to make it clear that this is not just about immigration, but about the erosion of our democratic values and the threat to our civil liberties."
Jordan Uhl: "That's a great message, Spencer. But how do we get people to listen? How do we get them to understand the gravity of what's happening?"
Spencer Neff: "I think that's where social media comes in. We need to use social media to spread the word about what's happening with ICE and CBP, and to build a national movement around abolishing these agencies. And we need to make it clear that this is not just a partisan issue, but an issue of democracy itself."
Jordan Uhl: "I agree, Spencer. Social media can be a powerful tool in building opposition to these agencies. But what about the role of the press? How do you think we should cover this story?"
Spencer Neff: "I think we need to take a more aggressive approach to covering this story, Jordan. We need to hold ICE and CBP accountable for their actions, and we need to make it clear that these agencies are not above the law. We need to use our reporting to expose the truth about what's happening, and to build public awareness of the issue."
Jordan Uhl: "That's a great approach, Spencer. And I think you're right that we need to start taking a more critical stance towards ICE and CBP. But what about the role of the Democratic Party? How do we hold them accountable for their actions?"
Spencer Neff: "I think that's a tough one, Jordan. The Democratic Party has historically been more accommodationist when it comes to issues like immigration reform. But I think we need to start pushing them harder on this issue. We need to make it clear that abolishing ICE and CBP is not just a radical idea, but a necessary step towards restoring democracy in our country."
Jordan Uhl: "I agree, Spencer. It's time for us to take a more radical approach to solving this problem. And I think you're right that we need to start building towards abolishing ICE and CBP altogether. But it won't be easy, Jordan. It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication from all of us."
Spencer Neff: "I couldn't agree more, Jordan. But I'm confident that together, we can make a difference. We just need to keep pushing forward, and never give up on our values."
