I'm like totally confused about the beauty industry's sustainability efforts
. I know we want our skin and hair to be healthy and all that, but some companies are just patching things together instead of having a real plan
. It's crazy how much plastic is still used in packaging - 95% of products aren't even recyclable!
And don't even get me started on the natural ingredients thing... tokin' about toxic loads, right?

I think consumers are really driving change here, but we need better info from brands so we can make informed choices
. The British Beauty Council is onto something with that marketing and certification thing - it's like, if companies just be honest about what they're using, that'd be awesome
.
But honestly, I think it'll take a lot more than just consumer demand to make a real impact
. Governments and big corporations need to step up their game too
. It's not like we can just sit back and wait for change to happen - we gotta keep pushing for it
.
