I'm not sure why they're making changes to the squad for the Ashes... Australia seems like a solid team to me. They've got some great experience with guys like Smith, Hazlewood, and Starc. But at the same time, they are struggling with their opening partnership, which is a big deal in Test cricket.
I think it's cool that they're giving Jake Weatherald a chance, though! He seems like an interesting guy to watch, and I'm curious to see if he can make a difference alongside Labuschagne. And maybe this will be the push they need for Sam Konstas to bounce back after being dropped from the team.
The thing is, England is looking pretty fierce too... they've lost David Warner as an opening partner, so they're gonna have to find a way to adapt. But overall, I think Australia's got this. They just need to get their act together and focus on one thing at a time
