‘The New Big 5’: Wildlife photography book turns the lens on animals at risk | CNN

I'm getting nostalgic for the old days when wildlife conservation was still on its toes back in the 90s, you know? The big five were already a thing then too! 📸♂️ I mean, I remember reading about the lion's mane and how it was used to lure in prey. And those gorgeous tigers with their stripes... anyway, this new generation of conservation efforts is awesome I guess. It's just that sometimes I think we're repeating the same mistakes over and over again? 🤔 Like, what made 50,000 people think that voting for a favorite animal was gonna make a difference in the first place? And why did they choose those five animals specifically? Did they do some kinda research or was it just a hot mess of a vote 🤷‍♂️

man this is so important 🙏, i mean think about it we're literally on the last generation where we still got time to fix some of the damage we've done to the planet like seriously have you seen the pics of these animals struggling to survive its heartbreaking 😔. Graeme Green's idea is genius - using photography as a tool for conservation and awareness, i mean who can resist a good photo 📸? but seriously this book needs to be out there right now it's not just about saving some iconic species, it's about our future and the health of the planet 🌎 we need people like Green to keep pushing us to take action 💪.
