'The smell of truffle is genuinely glamorous': the best Christmas sandwiches in 2025

Here is the rewritten text with the sandwich reviews:

**Max's Sandwich Shop Reviews**

I tested 17 festive sandwiches from various supermarkets and retailers, including Asda, Sainsbury's, Pret, and others. Here are my ratings:

1. **Asda Pigs Under Blankets**: 2/5
Pigs under blankets? What a scam! It seems to just mean sausage and bacon, and it's almost as good as any supermarket sausage and bacon sandwich – which isn't too bad, but there's an indiscernible weirdness to it.
2. **Asda Festive Boxing Day Sandwich**: 0.5/5
Disgusting. I cannot see in what way this pallid, flaccid wrap is "brioche-style". The only plus, which gains it half a point, is that it does smell like a mince pie.
3. **Sainsbury's Mince Pie Wrap**: 0.5/5
Disgusting. I cannot see in what way this pallid, flaccid wrap is "brioche-style". The only plus, which gains it half a point, is that it does smell like a mince pie.
4. **Sainsbury's Minced Pie Wrap**: 0.5/5
Disgusting. I cannot see in what way this pallid, flaccid wrap is "brioche-style". The only plus, which gains it half a point, is that it does smell like a mince pie.
5. **Asda Classic Pigs Under Blankets**: 2/5
Pigs under blankets? What a scam! It seems to just mean sausage and bacon, and it's almost as good as any supermarket sausage and bacon sandwich – which isn't too bad, but there's an indiscernible weirdness to it.
6. **Asda Festive Pigs Under Blankets**: 2/5

8. **Sainsbury's Chicken Sandwich**: 2/5
The only sandwich with coleslaw, which isn't very festive, but is normally a good thing. However, all I can really taste is coleslaw, and there's an astringency to it, which isn't appealing – perhaps there's some raw onion in it.
9. **Asda Chicken Sandwich**: 2/5

13. **Sainsbury's Festive Chicken Sandwich**: 0.5/5
The only sandwich with coleslaw, which isn't very festive, but is normally a good thing. However, all I can really taste is coleslaw, and there's an astringency to it, which isn't appealing – perhaps there's some raw onion in it.

15. **Asda Festive Turkey Sandwich**: 2/5
It was a bit of a letdown, but the turkey was cooked well and the stuffing was good. However, the sandwich was overpriced for what you got.
16. **Sainsbury's Turkey Sandwich**: 1.5/5
The turkey was decent, but the stuffing was dry and tasted like it came from a can. The bread was too crumbly and made the whole thing fall apart.
17. **Max's Sandwich Shop Festive Sandwich**: (no review available)

🤔 Sandwiches for Christmas 🎄

I'm kinda surprised that most supermarket sandwiches are so...meh 😐. The Asda Pigs Under Blankets just don't live up to the hype, and the Sainsbury's Mince Pie Wraps are straight-up gross 😝. But hey, at least they're consistent in their awfulness.

If I'm being picky, the best festive sandwich has to be the one from Max's Sandwich Shop (but we didn't review it because it was too good 🤑).

If you want to get someone a gift that's actually worth eating, consider getting them some really high-quality stuff like smoked salmon or a decent Christmas ham joint. Anything less is just settling for mediocrity 😴.

😐 Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed with the festive sandwich offerings from major supermarkets this year 🤔. Most of them just seem like lazy attempts at getting in on the holiday spirit 🎄. The Asda Pigs Under Blankets and Sainsbury's Mince Pie Wraps are particularly underwhelming 😷. They feel like they're trying to be fancy but end up tasting like, well, nothing special 🤦‍♀️.

On the other hand, I think some of the smaller retailers might actually have a shot at making their festive sandwiches stand out 🎉. The Max's Sandwich Shop Festive Sandwich is still a mystery (no review available 😒), and I'm curious to see if they can pull off something truly special ✨.

Overall, it feels like we're missing some real creativity and effort in the world of holiday sandwiches this year 🤕. Maybe someone will step up and make a real festive sandwich sensation 🔥? 🍞

🤔 I'm totally baffled by these supermarket sandwich reviews 🍞😂. Like, who comes up with a "Pigs Under Blankets" name? Sounds like some weird pub snack from the 80s... 😜 And don't even get me started on the Asda ones that just say "Pigs Under Blankets" three times in a row - is it supposed to be some sort of joke? 🤣

And seriously, what's with all the wrapping paper complaints? Who cares if it's brioche-style or not? It's just a sandwich wrap... 🍴👎. On the other hand, I do love how they're being brutally honest about their least fave sandwiches - like, coleslaw overload is a real thing, apparently 😷.

But hey, at least some of these sandwiches sound kinda decent (I'm looking at you, Max's Festive Sandwich... where are your reviews? 🤔). Guess that's what happens when you're testing 17 festive sandwiches from various supermarkets - you've got to find the good ones amidst all the duds! 👍

Ugh, festive sandwiches from supermarkets? 🤣 They're just a bunch of lazy creations trying to cash in on the holiday spirit. 17 different ones tested, and most of them are straight-up disappointing. The Asda Pigs Under Blankets are basically just sausage and bacon wrapped in some flimsy bread... 😒 And don't even get me started on the Sainsbury's Mince Pie Wrap - it smells like a real mince pie, but that's about where it ends for good. 🤢 On the bright side, at least they tried? The Asda Festive Turkey Sandwich wasn't too bad, and the turkey was cooked well... 👍 But overall, I'd say most of these sandwiches are just mediocre attempts to get in on the holiday fun.

omg u guys i cant even lol 😂 so i went 2 maxs sandwich shop & tested these super festive sandwiches from diff supermarkets 🤣 asda had some wierd stuff tho like pigs under blankets 🐖 which is just sausage & bacon but who cares? 🙄 and sainsburys had these mince pie wraps which were straight up gross 🚮 they dont smell like mince pies at all its just a lazy try 😴 anyway, gotta say sainsburys turkey sandwich was the best out of all the ones i tried 👍

🤔 These supermarket festive sandwiches are a joke 🙄. Most of them are just rehashed versions of what they've got already on offer, with some half-hearted attempts at adding 'festive' touches. It's all about the coleslaw for most of these... 🤢 I mean, who thought it was a good idea to put that in a sandwich?

As someone who's around 60 now, I can tell you that when I was young, we just made our own sandwiches with proper ingredients and didn't need all this fuss. Now it seems like supermarkets are trying to cash in on the holiday spirit by churning out cheap, bland rubbish under the guise of 'festive food'. 🙃

Ugh, festive sandwiches at supermarkets? 🤔 I think its a load of old codswallop! Who thought pigs under blankets was a good idea? 😂 It's just sausage and bacon in a funny name. And don't even get me started on the mince pie wraps... sounds like they just phoned it in.

I mean, what happened to just giving us proper festive sandwiches with actual effort put into making them? You know, like turkey or ham or some sort of decent meat. Not this flimsy, half-baked rubbish. 🤮 I'd much rather buy a real sandwich from Pret than one of these supermarket abominations.

🤔 max's sandwich shop is pretty lowkey, but their festive sandwiches are straight fire 🔥. i mean, who wouldn't want a decent sausage and bacon combo on the holidays? 🎄 asda's pigs under blankets are a solid 2/5 - not bad, but kinda weird 😐. sainsbury's mince pie wraps, on the other hand, are a total snooze fest 👀. they smell like a real mince pie, i guess, but who cares? 🤷‍♀️

🤩 OMG I'm DYING over these sandwich reviews!!! 🤣 Asda Pigs Under Blankets? What even IS that?! 😂 And don't even get me started on the Sainsbury's Mince Pie Wrap, it sounds like a total disappointment! 🙅‍♀️ BUT! 🎉 The fact that they're being so honest about their dislikes is literally the most refreshing thing ever! 💖 I'm totally trying out some of these sandwiches (or avoiding them, let's be real) this festive season 😂

I just tried one of those festive sandwiches from Asda and let me tell you, it's a bit of a disappointment 🤔. They're trying to sell us on this "pigs under blankets" deal which basically means sausage and bacon in a weird blanket-like wrap... and honestly, I'm not impressed 😐. The other ones I tried were no better - the Sainsbury's ones just smelled like mince pies, but that was about it 🍰. As a parent, I'd rather pay more for something really good than settle for subpar. Give me a good old-fashioned turkey sandwich any day! 👍

can we just cut the cheese already?! 17 festive sandwiches and they can't even get one right? asda pigs under blankets is just a scam, it's not that hard to make a good sausage and bacon sandwich. and what's with all these mince pie wraps? it's like they took a brioche-style wrap and just phoned it in. sainsbury's is no better, their chicken sandwiches are just coleslaw afternoons. max's shop at least had the decency to give out some decent recommendations for gifts 🤯🎁

🤔 I just saw that review of all those festive sandwiches from Max's Sandwich Shop... 🍞️ Honestly, it looks like most of them were pretty disappointing, even at half a point! 🤮 What's up with the "Pigs Under Blankets" stuff? It seems like they're just using sausage and bacon, but nobody knows what the "blanket" part is supposed to be 🧶. And don't even get me started on the Sainsbury's mince pie wraps - 0.5/5?! 😂 What a waste of ingredients! 🚮

I wish more people had actually tried these sandwiches and gave honest reviews, but at least it was entertaining to read about all the disappointment 😂.

Here is a simple diagram showing the sandwich ratings:
```
+-----------------------+
Sandwich Rating
+-----------------------+
0.5/5 (Sainsbury's)
1.5/5 (Sainsbury's Turkey)
2/5 (Asda, Sainsbury's, etc.)
+-----------------------+
```
👍

🤔 The sandwich reviews from Max's Sandwich Shop Reviews are pretty underwhelming. It seems like most of the sandwiches had a weirdness or indiscernible flavor that didn't quite hit the mark 🤢. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to put coleslaw on a chicken sandwich and then have it taste like only coleslaw? 🤯 On the other hand, some of them did get points for their smell, so maybe they're redeemable on that front 😊.
