The Switch 2-exclusive co-op adventure Orbitals launches this summer

Bethesda's latest collaboration with Nintendo has announced a surprise gem: the co-op adventure game Orbitals, set to launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 this summer. The game takes players on an intergalactic journey as Maki and Omura, two explorers racing against time to save their home in the stars from an incoming cosmic storm.

Orbitals boasts a distinct visual style reminiscent of 90s anime, with a Saturday morning cartoon aesthetic that's both nostalgic and captivating. While its gameplay is still somewhat comparable to other titles like It Takes Two and Split Fiction, the game's charm lies in its eye-catching presentation โ€“ whether you're playing through cutscenes or navigating levels, Orbitals' visuals are consistently stunning.

The real test for this new co-op adventure will be how well it lives up to the high standards set by Josef Fares' Hazelight Studios. However, based on what's been revealed so far, it seems that Orbitals is definitely worth checking out โ€“ and its summer 2026 release date only adds to the anticipation.

As a Switch 2 exclusive, players will be able to enjoy local co-op gameplay or team up online with friends using Nintendo's GameShare feature, which allows for seamless play between two owners. The game is expected to arrive sometime during the warmer months of next year.

๐ŸŒ  this new game sounds like so much fun! i love that it has a unique 90s anime vibe, it's already got me excited ๐Ÿคฉ and co-op gameplay with friends? yeah please ๐Ÿ’– can't wait to play orbitals on my switch 2 when it comes out ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ maybe the summer of 2026 will finally bring some sunshine (and great gaming) to our lives โ˜€๏ธ

omg have u seen the trailer for orbitals?? ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ˜ฎ i'm low-key hyped, tbh, that anime aesthetic is straight fire! but what's really got me wondering is why nintendo is only releasing it on the switch 2... like, what's the deal with that? are they trying to make us all upgrade to the new console just so we can play orbitals? ๐Ÿค” i'm not saying it's a conspiracy or anything, but it seems kinda suspicious that they're making the game exclusive to the newer model. and what about people who don't want to shell out for a new console just yet? are they gonna be left in the dark? ๐Ÿค‘ i need more info on this one before i can get my orbitals fix

I'm super hyped about this new game Orbitals! ๐Ÿš€ It looks like so much fun and the art style is totally on point - I love that retro anime vibe ๐Ÿ˜. I've been a bit bored with co-op games lately, but the fact that it's got a cool visual style and seems to be part of a bigger brand (Hazelight Studios) makes me want to give it a shot ๐Ÿค”. The Switch 2 exclusive feature is also a big plus for me - local co-op is where it's at! ๐Ÿ’ป I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one, can't wait to play it this summer ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I'm so down for this one ๐Ÿคฉ! A 90s anime-inspired game on Switch? That's like a dream come true for me ๐Ÿ˜Ž. I mean, who wouldn't want to play as two explorers trying to save their home from a cosmic storm in a sick co-op adventure game? ๐Ÿ”ฅ The visuals look straight fire, and the fact that it's an exclusive Switch 2 title is just icing on the cake ๐Ÿฐ. It'll be cool to see how it stacks up against other games like It Takes Two and Split Fiction, but from what I've seen so far, I'm pretty hyped for this one ๐Ÿ˜†. And let's not forget about the local co-op and GameShare features โ€“ that sounds like a blast ๐Ÿ‘ซ! Can't wait until summer 2026 to get my hands on it ๐Ÿคž

I'm low-key hyped about Orbitals!!! I mean, a 90s anime-inspired visual style? That sounds so cool! ๐Ÿคฉ It's great that Bethesda is collaborating with Nintendo on this one. As for the gameplay, it might not be super original, but who cares when it looks this awesome? ๐Ÿ˜Ž The co-op aspect has me stoked โ€“ I love playing games with friends and Orbitals seems like a blast. Plus, the fact that it'll be exclusive to the Switch 2 is a bonus in my book. Can't wait for summer 2026! ๐ŸŒž

omg I'm so hyped for Orbitals!!! ๐Ÿคฉ it sounds like a total blast from the past with that 90s anime vibe ๐ŸŒŸ but at the same time, I love how the gameplay seems to mix things up a bit... I mean, who doesn't love a good co-op adventure? ๐Ÿค and can we talk about how cute Maki and Omura are?! ๐Ÿ˜ I'm also super curious about the GameShare feature, is it gonna be super smooth or what? ๐Ÿค” does anyone think the graphics will hold up on that new Switch 2 hardware? ๐Ÿ’ป

I'm kinda stoked about Orbitals ๐Ÿš€ but also kinda not sure if it'll live up to its hype ๐Ÿค” I mean, 90s anime vibes are cool and all, but will they translate well to a Switch game? And what's with the summer '26 release date - shouldn't we be seeing this sooner? ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ But on the other hand, the gameplay does look pretty sweet, especially with that GameShare feature... will it bring more players together or just create some awkward online co-op experiences ๐Ÿ˜Š. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it all shakes out...

๐Ÿš€ Orbitals is looking like a total blast from the past, you know? I mean, who doesn't love that retro anime vibe? ๐ŸŽ‰ And it's on the Switch 2! That thing's gonna be so sick for gaming. Can't wait to see how the co-op gameplay holds up, but if they pull off the visuals and story like they say they will... this could be the next big thing! GameShare is a game-changer too, can't wait to play with friends locally or online. Is it just me or does anyone think we're gonna see more indie devs hopping onto the Switch 2 scene?

I'm super stoked about Orbitals ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŽฎ but like... I need to see how it plays before I jump all in. That 90s anime vibe sounds hella cool, tho ๐Ÿคฉ. I'm curious about how the gameplay holds up, especially compared to other co-op games out there. It's got a pretty big shoe to fill with Hazelight Studios' high standards ๐Ÿ™. I do think local co-op on Switch 2 is gonna be lit though ๐Ÿ’ป. Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype and doesn't feel like just another co-op game ๐Ÿ˜.

idk why ppl r hyped bout dis game tho ๐Ÿค” it sounds like every other co-op adventure game... i mean dont get me wrong its got that 90s anime vibe which might be cool, but is it really worth playin on switch 2? seems like theyre just tryin to capitalize on the hype of switch 2 launch โšก๏ธ and theres nothin new here gameplay wise
