Today on Sky Sports Racing: Arkle favourite Lulamba tackles open company for first time on Super Saturday at Newbury

Lulamba, the unbeaten Arkle favourite, will face off against open company for the first time in the Grade Two William Hill Game Spirit Chase at Newbury on Super Saturday, live on Sky Sports Racing. The 16-horse field is likely to be a baptism by fire for Lulamba, who has dominated all his starts thus far over fences.

Nicky Henderson's star novice chaser arrives at Newbury with an impressive record in two starts over fences, having impressed with the way he saw off Be Aware to land the Grade One Henry VIII Novices' Chase at Sandown in December. However, Lulamba will have to contend with a stern test from Saint Segal, who looks the chief threat for Jane Williams and Ciaran Gethings.

A six-time winner over fences, Saint Segal has risen through the grades and was not disgraced when runner-up behind Thistle Ask at Kempton over Christmas. The form of his recent run is solid, particularly after a cracker in the Clarence House next time out.

Last year's winner, Master Chewy, and runner-up, Libberty Hunter, also return with place claims but face stiff competition from Lulamba and Saint Segal. Leave Of Absence will look to make it two wins over this course and distance, while Riskintheground could be playing for prize money.

In another competitive feature, the William Hill Hurdle at Newbury features a field of 16, with Let It Rain heading the market for Dan Skelton. Unbeaten in two bumper runs, she has steadily improved over hurdles but faces stiff competition from All In You and Un Sens A La Vie. The Twiston-Davies yard has a good record in this contest, while The Hardest Geezer is the pick at more lucrative prices.

Other notable races at Newbury include the William Hill Racing Epic Boosts Novices' Hurdle, the William Hill Each Way Extra Handicap Hurdle, and the William Hill Cheltenham Non-Runner Money Back Novices' Limited Handicap Chase.

can't believe how many talented horses are going to be racing at newbury this super saturday lol πŸ΄πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ i'm all about saint segal though, he's been on fire lately and i think he's got a good shot against lulamba. also gotta say that let it rain looks like she's gonna give dan skelton a strong run in the william hill hurdle πŸ€”

I'm not sure what to make of Lulamba's chances on Super Saturday πŸ€”. He's been on fire so far, but this is a big step up in class and he'll definitely be under the spotlight. Saint Segal seems like a strong contender though - their recent form is solid and they've got some great yarders behind them πŸ‘. I'm gonna keep an eye on Let It Rain in the William Hill Hurdle too, she's been looking sharp in the bumpers and if she can translate that to hurdles... πŸ΄πŸ‘Œ

omg i'm so hyped for super saturday 🀩! Lulamba's gonna be put through a wringer against Saint Segal tho πŸ΄πŸ˜… and it'll be fascinating to see how he handles the pressure. Nicky Henderson always brings his A-game, but Jane Williams' crew is looking strong too. Let It Rain in the hurdle looks like a solid bet, she's got the skills to take on the best πŸ†πŸ‘

I'm not convinced about all this hype around Lulamba πŸ€”πŸ΄. I mean, he's been dominant in his starts but this is a whole different ball game - 16 horses going for it on Super Saturday? That's a lot of variables to consider 😬. And Saint Segal, yeah, that's a tough one too... Jane Williams' horse has solid form and if she can get past Lulamba's star power, who knows? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

And what about the jockeys? Nicky Henderson's got some big shoes to fill with Ciaran Gethings on board. I'm not sure even he can handle that many horses in one run 😩. Master Chewy and Libberty Hunter might be worth watching, but they're no guarantee of a win either... this is gonna be a close call, folks! πŸ†

πŸ€” I'm loving the Super Saturday atmosphere at Newbury! Lulamba's undefeated record over fences is impressive, but Saint Segal's recent form is solid too πŸš€. Can't wait to see how these two contenders go head-to-head πŸŽπŸ’¨. The William Hill Hurdle looks like a battle between Let It Rain and All In You πŸ”₯. Fingers crossed for some thrilling upsets! 🀞 Master Chewy, you've got the skills but Saint Segal's speed might be too much 😬. Will Riskintheground make it two wins over this course? πŸ’ͺ

🚨 Lulamba's undefeated streak is gonna be shattered at Newbury πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Lulamba's only bummer is his form isn't all good... πŸ€” Still, Saint Segal looks a tough one to beat 😬 and with 6 wins over fences already under his belt he's got this... 🌟 Riskintheground might be a dark horse tho 🐎

omg lulamba is gonna get smashed on super saturday 🀯 watch this video about saint segal's recent form
πŸ‘€ he's looking so sharp after that clarence house win!

also, nicky henderson is a genius for running lulamba at newbury πŸ™Œ and the william hill game spirit chase has some sick prize money πŸ’Έ

I'm intrigued by Lulamba's chances against Saint Segal πŸ€”... I mean, they've got a solid form, but the other horse looks pretty tough to beat too. It'll be interesting to see how Nicky Henderson's team adapts to open company - they're used to cruising in the amateur ranks, you know? πŸ“Š Also, that Let It Rain has been on fire lately... 16-horse fields can be tricky, but Dan Skelton seems to have a knack for handling them. Fingers crossed for some exciting racing at Newbury this Super Saturday! πŸ’¨

πŸ΄πŸ’¨ I think Lulamba's upcoming run at Newbury is gonna be super interesting. They're talkin' about him facin' off against 15 other horses, which is a total baptism by fire for the little guy! 🀯 He's had an unbeaten start to his career over fences but this is a whole new level of competition.

Saint Segal's lookin' like the main threat, and I think that's cool. They've got a solid form behind 'em and are risin' through the grades. It's gonna be tough for Lulamba to take down the champ, but you never know in horse racing, right? 😏

It's also awesome seein' all these talented horses go up against each other on Super Saturday at Newbury. The field is stacked with horses that could easily win this thing. I'm lovin' it! πŸŽ‰

πŸ‡οΈ Man, I remember watching these kinds of horse racing events on telly back in the day when Sky Sports didn't even exist yet πŸ“Ί! It's amazing how far they've come since then. I mean, Lulamba sounds like a top contender but Saint Segal is giving him a run for his money 🐎. I'm not sure about Leave Of Absence, though - hasn't he been in these sort of situations before and always managed to pull it off? πŸ€” Still, with Master Chewy and Libberty Hunter coming back strong, this one's gonna be a nail-biter on Super Saturday ⏰!

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ so like lulamba is supposed to be unbeaten but we gotta see how he handles a tough field πŸ€”, nikkie henderson's team has been on fire lately and saint segal looks like the main threat for them πŸš€. the form of saint segal is solid and that clarence house win was impressive πŸ’ͺ. i'm also keeping an eye on let it rain in the william hill hurdle, she's got the market backing her but all in you and unsens a la vie are giving her some competition 🀝. master chewy and liberty hunter might not have as much chance tho 😐. what do you guys think? πŸ“Ί

omg I just got back from newbury last month with my bf and we saw Master Chewy win! πŸ˜‚ he was so cute πŸ΄πŸ‘ anyway I'm not super into horse racing but I do love nicky henderson he's always been so chill and funny πŸ’β€β™€οΈ did you know I met him at the bookies once? 🀫 he signed my copy of 'starting nine to ten' πŸ“š it was such a thrill πŸŽ‰

I'm telling you, Lulamba's unbeaten record is going to get smashed at Newbury πŸ€―πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ I mean, they're in a field of 16 horses and Saint Segal looks like the real deal, I've been saying that all along πŸ™„. But wait, I just thought about it again and what if Lulamba's got some trick up their sleeve? What if they can take on the strong competition? Maybe Master Chewy has a good shot at taking the win? I'm not sure, my mind is all over the place πŸ€―πŸ‘€. And then there's Let It Rain in the William Hill Hurdle, I was saying she's got a weak chance of winning, but now that I think about it again, maybe Skelton knows what he's doing? Ugh, why can't my opinion just make up its mind?! 😩

Lulamba's gonna need some luck against that strong field 🀞 16 horses is a lot to handle, even for a dominant chaser like him... Saint Segal's form looks solid tho, and I'm curious to see how Lulamba handles the competition πŸ’ͺ One thing's for sure, it's gonna be an exciting ride on Super Saturday πŸŽ‰

πŸ΄πŸ’¨ omg lol Lulamba is gonna need a miracle to win this one 🀯 he's got some serious competition πŸ‘Š Saint Segal looks πŸ”₯ and i'm not sure Lulamba can handle him πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ also Master Chewy and Libberty Hunter are coming for them too πŸ•πŸ‘« but you never know what can happen on super Saturday πŸŽ‰ Newbury is always so unpredictable 🀯

omg I'm like so excited for Super Saturday at Newbury!!! πŸŽ‰ Lulamba is gonna be on fire πŸ”₯ and Saint Segal is looking fierce πŸ’ͺ I mean, six-time winner over fences? that's crazy 😲 Nicky Henderson better bring his A-game because those two are going to go head-to-head for sure πŸ”΄ The William Hill Hurdle has an amazing field too, Let It Rain is my pick 🐴 Dan Skelton always brings the goods πŸ’―

Newbury is gonna be lit on Super Saturday! Lulamba's got a tough draw but I think he'll still give it a go & put up a good show against Saint Segal... who's definitely the one to beat 🐴😊. Nicky Henderson's got some magic dust in his stable, no doubt about that. But you can't rule out Master Chewy & Libberty Hunter making a comeback like last year... will be fun to watch! Let's hope for some decent punts, eh? πŸ’ΈπŸ‘

Ugh, another Super Saturday at Newbury and I'm already feeling the crush of too many horses! 🀯 Can't we just have a few decent fields for once? Lulamba vs Saint Segal is gonna be epic, but 16-horse field is just crazy 🀯 And don't even get me started on Let It Rain in the William Hill Hurdle - it's like they're trying to give everyone an equal chance πŸ™„ Still, Twiston-Davies always seems to deliver, so maybe there's hope for that one 🀞

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ I'm not sure what's more impressive - Lulamba's unbeaten record or how he managed to get himself into a tough spot by facing off against Saint Segal and Co. πŸ€” I mean, both horses are incredibly talented and have solid form going into this race. It'll be interesting to see how they all mix it up on the track.

I've been following Lulamba's progress and he does seem like a horse on the rise, but I'm not sure if being "baptised by fire" will do him any good πŸ’₯. The stakes are high at Newbury with plenty of talented horses vying for the top spot. Can't wait to see how it all plays out! πŸ“Ί
