And yeah, I get it, Russia is a big deal and all, but can't we just have an honest conversation about how to handle the situation without making it sound like the US is trying to tell Europe what to do? It's not like we haven't had our own problems with Russia in the past...
I'm also really bothered by the part where they're criticizing European free speech and migration policy. That sounds like a huge power grab to me. We need to be able to talk about these issues without being judged or lectured by someone else.
Anyway, I hope EU officials keep pushing back on this strategy because it feels really one-sided to me. Can't we just have a healthy debate and work together instead of trying to dictate what the other person should do?
