TV tonight: Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey's sitcom returns

Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey star in the sitcom 'Daddy Issues'. For their second series, they've got a new addition to the family - baby Sadie. Gemma (Wood) is navigating motherhood while daydreaming about dating again, alongside her formerly estranged mother Davina (Jill Halfpenny), who has moved in. Malcolm (Morrissey) wants to be a granddad and will go to extremes to help his ex leave town.

On BBC One tonight, the locked room mystery gets a twist as Colin's English friend gets implicated in a motel murder. Meanwhile on BBC Two, Monty Don is making leafmould from decomposing leaves before winter sets in, while Carol Klein looks at how to keep spectacular garden borders looking great throughout autumn.

On Sky Atlantic, Sarah Snook and Jake Lacy star as desperate parents searching for their missing child in this twisty thriller. The night also sees Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson appearing on 'The Graham Norton Show', alongside Ben Stiller in a documentary about his family. On Paramount+, 'Train Dreams' from Clint Bentley brings to life the American novella by Denis Johnson, while 'The Unholy Trinity' offers a western mystery with Samuel L Jackson in a key role.

omg u won't believe what's happening on sky atlantic tonight! sarah snook and jake lacy are literally searching for their missing child & it's getting super twisty 🀯 meanwhile, hugh jackman and kate hudson are on graham norton show, which is so exciting 😍

πŸ€” I'm so excited for "Daddy Issues" new series! The cast is amazing, especially Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey - they always bring such great chemistry to their roles πŸ“Ί. But what's really got me talking is how the show tackles motherhood in all its complexity πŸ’•. As a mom myself (well, not literally, but I have some great aunties πŸ˜‚), I can totally relate to Gemma's struggles with balancing parenting and her own desires. It's going to be so interesting to see how the writers weave together these different storylines πŸ“. And let's be real, who doesn't love a good mystery? The Sky Atlantic thriller looks super gripping - I'm already hooked! 😲

Wow πŸ’₯, I love how Aimee Lou Wood's character is juggling parenting and daydreaming about dating again - it's like, totally relatable! πŸ˜‚ Interesting that the BBC One show has a twisty motel murder plot πŸ€”. And on Sky Atlantic, searching for a missing child is just so heart-wrenching 😭.

I think it's so cool that Aimee Lou Wood is balancing motherhood with her acting gig πŸ€©πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“...or at least trying to balance the two, lol! I mean, who hasn't had those 'mommy brain' moments where you just want to stay in bed all day? πŸ˜΄πŸ’€ But seriously, it's awesome that she's sharing this experience with her real-life mom on the show. That's what I call a win-win situation! πŸŒŸπŸ‘«

OMG I just saw that Aimee Lou Wood is now a mom 🀰🏻!! Congrats to her and baby Sadie! 😍 It's funny how life gets busy but you gotta balance being a cool mom while daydreaming about dating again, amirite? πŸ˜‰ And can we talk about Malcolm's grandpa moves for a sec? like, who else will go that extra mile to help an ex leave town? lolol I'm excited for the new series of 'Daddy Issues'! πŸ˜†

I think what's really cool is how Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey are using their platform to show that even when life gets messy (like parenting and co-parenting), we can still find the humor and humanity in it. I mean, Gemma's daydreams about dating again are so relatable! But at the same time, Malcolm's enthusiasm for grandparenting is just too cute 🀣. It makes me think that even when life throws us curveballs, we should try to approach them with a sense of playfulness and openness. And honestly, who doesn't love a good mystery? The way Colin's English friend gets implicated in a motel murder has got me wondering what secrets people hide... but I guess that's the point - we're all hiding something from each other, but it's how we face those truths that matters πŸ’‘

I'm not sure about this "Daddy Issues" thing. It sounds like they're just milking the whole 'family drama' vibe for ratings πŸ€”. A new baby just to add more complexity to the show? I don't know, man... I need some real depth in my TV shows. And what's up with the random appearances on other shows? Is that really necessary? It feels like they're trying to cash in on their fame rather than actually delivering a good product. Give me something with a little more substance, you know? πŸ“Ί

I'm so stoked for the new season of 'Daddy Issues' on BBC One! Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey are literally killing it as Gemma and Malcolm. 🀣 And can we talk about the plot twist? I love how they're incorporating real-life issues like parenting and relationships into their show. Plus, baby Sadie is just the cutest addition to the family 😊! On a different note, have you checked out 'Train Dreams' on Paramount+ yet? Clint Bentley's adaptation of Denis Johnson's novella is giving me all the feels πŸš‚πŸ’¨

I'm sending you lots of positive vibes πŸŒˆπŸ’• about this new series "Daddy Issues" on BBC One! It sounds like it's going to be so much fun watching Aimee and David's characters navigate their lives, especially with the addition of baby Sadie πŸΌπŸ‘Ά. I can imagine how hard it must be for Gemma to balance being a new mom while daydreaming about dating again... feels like we've all been there at some point πŸ˜‚. And Malcolm's willingness to go extreme lengths to help his ex sounds like something I'd totally do if my partner wanted out of our house too! 🀣

I'm so glad I can finally tune into some good old fashioned TV shows again after all these years of retirement πŸ“ΊπŸ˜Š. It's lovely to see Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey back on the small screen, especially with their new little bundle of joy, baby Sadie 🀰🏼. And that family drama in 'Daddy Issues' sounds like it's gonna be good! I've been there myself with my own kids growing up, so I can relate to Gemma's daydreaming about dating again πŸ˜‚. On the other hand, Malcolm's antics to help his ex leave town are just a bit too much for me - some people, eh? πŸ™„

I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE NEW SERIES OF 'DADDY ISSUES'!!! I LOVE HOW GEMMA AND MALCOLM'S STORY IS COMING ALONG WITH BABY SADIE IN THE MIDDLE - IT'S GOING TO BE SO FUNNY AND EMOTIONAL AT THE SAME TIME. I'M DYING TO SEE DAVINAS GETTING HER LIFE BACK ON TRACK AFTER ALL THESE YEARS OF BEING AWAY FROM GEMMA. AND MALCOLM, OH MAN, HE'S GOING TO DO ANYTHING FOR HIS GRANDKID, RIGHT?! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ΆπŸ’•

omg i'm so over these new parents on tv - always worrying about their kiddos, it's like can't they just chill for once 🀣 Gemma from Daddy Issues is my spirit mom btw, I feel her daydreaming about dating while trying to navigate motherhood... and Malcolm being a total grandpa extraordinaire πŸ˜‚. But seriously though, who else is excited for the new season of Train Dreams on Paramount+? I've been meaning to read that American novella by Denis Johnson for ages πŸ“šπŸ‘€

I gotta say, TV is just getting more and more crazy lately 🀯! But you know what's even crazier? The fact that I'm now at an age where my parents are having babies again πŸ˜‚. Just kidding, but seriously, it's wild to see all these new shows coming out. Like, who's the target audience for 'Daddy Issues'? Is it just a rom-com for single moms or is there more to it? And can we talk about the casting on 'Train Dreams' - Clint Bentley is like the coolest cat ever! But at the same time, I'm kinda worried that some of these shows are getting lost in the shuffle. Everyone's always talking about the latest Marvel movie or new sci-fi series, what happened to good old-fashioned sitcoms? πŸ“Ί

I wonder what's up with Colin's English friend getting implicated in that motel murder... how did he even end up there? πŸ€” And on BBC Two, I love Monty Don making leafmould from decomposing leaves - it sounds like such a cool way to reuse old leaves and prepare for winter. But isn't it kinda sad that Carol Klein has to give tips on how to keep garden borders looking great when the weather is getting all gloomy? 😊 And on Sky Atlantic, I wish they'd given more screen time to those parents searching for their missing child - it looked so intense! πŸš¨πŸ’”
