Venezuela's Maduro now in jail in NYC; Trump says U.S. will run the country

US Forces Capture Venezuela's Maduro, Imprison Him in NYC Jail

In an extraordinary move, US forces raided Venezuela and captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, dubbed "Operation Absolute Resolve". The operation was carried out on the orders of President Donald Trump, who claimed that Maduro was a "kingpin" responsible for trafficking colossal amounts of deadly drugs into the United States.

According to eyewitnesses, Maduro and his wife were handcuffed and shackled as they arrived in New York City, and were subsequently flown by helicopter to the West Side of Manhattan. They were then driven in an armored van with a heavily armed escort to be processed by the DEA at its headquarters in Manhattan.

The couple was later airlifted to the notorious Federal detention facility known as MDC Brooklyn, where Maduro will face narco-terrorism charges that he has been facing since 2020.

Venezuelan Americans who witnessed the operation expressed joy and relief, with many hailing it as a victory for democracy. "We can't take a chance that someone else takes over Venezuela that doesn't have the good of Venezuelan people in mind," Trump said in a statement. "I am confident in the capacity for any government to be better than what we had."

The US has taken control of Venezuela's leadership, with President Trump stating that he will govern the country until a new government is established. The move is seen as a significant escalation in the ongoing crisis in Venezuela, which has been plagued by corruption and authoritarianism under Maduro's rule.

As the situation continues to unfold, Venezuelans around the world are holding out hope for a brighter future for their country. "I am confident that any government will be better than what we had," said Rossanna Figuera, a Venezuelan American who expressed support for the US operation.

The implications of this move are far-reaching and uncertain, with many wondering what the future holds for Venezuela and its people. One thing is clear, however: Nicolas Maduro's days as President are over, and his fate now lies in the hands of the US justice system.

just saw this news lol what's going on in venezuela?? like i was trying to follow along with the election drama last year but it got all so confusing with all the generals and whatnot ...anyway can someone pls explain how this is gonna play out? Maduro gets imprisoned by trump? that's just wild.

I mean can you believe it? "Kingpin" they call him... I think that's a bit rich coming from Trump πŸ˜‚. Anyway, so Maduro gets tossed into NYC jail and suddenly everyone's all about democracy 🀣. Like, did we forget Venezuela was already in chaos before Trump decided to "save the day"? πŸ™„ But hey, at least now he's facing justice... or whatever this is supposed to be πŸš”. Rossanna Figuera thinks a new gov't will be better? Yeah, sure, 'cause that's worked out so well for us so far πŸ’β€β™€οΈ.

🀯 I'm telling you, this is a setup! The Trump administration has been trying to gain control of South America for years, and now they're just using Venezuela as a proxy. Maduro was already compromised, and now he's being used to justify some kind of US takeover. What about Cilia Flores? She's just a pawn in their game too, I'm sure she's been brainwashed or something.

And what's the real reason for these narco-terrorism charges? Is it really just about stopping drug trafficking, or is there more to it? The DEA's involved, so that's definitely some kind of agenda at play. And MDC Brooklyn? That place is notorious – we all know what happens in there, it's not exactly a sanctuary for human rights.

I'm not saying Maduro was innocent, but this whole thing reeks of imperialism. What about the Venezuelan people now? Are they going to be forced to live under US rule? It just doesn't add up... πŸ€”

🀯 what is going on with the US? first they invade iraq, then libya, syria, now venezuela... like who gives trump a blank check to start wars anywhere he wants? 🚫 i'm not saying Maduro isn't bad news but does that mean he has to be locked up in an nyc jail? it's just so unfair. what about the venezuelan people who are already suffering? they need a government that can help them not hurt each other, not just some rich dude in the us telling them who to vote for πŸ€‘

πŸ€” This whole situation is just so complicated 🌎 I mean, I get why Trump is trying to take a stand against corruption and all that, but capturing Maduro and his wife like this? πŸš” It's like, what's next? Is he gonna be put on trial or somethin'? 😬 And what about the people of Venezuela? They're just tryin' to survive here. I feel bad for 'em πŸ€•. At the same time, I get why some Venezuelans are happy that someone is takin' action against Maduro's regime πŸ‘€ But at the end of the day, it's all just a big mess πŸ’”

πŸ€” so i guess we got a crazy situation on our hands... maduro gets taken away by us forces 🚨 and now he's facing charges for narco-terrorism... that's some serious stuff πŸ’₯ but is this really a good thing for venezuela? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ think about it, the guy was in power for like 20 years and stuff just got really messed up under his rule πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ and now we're gonna put him in an nyc jail cell 🚽 with us justice system... what's the plan here? πŸ€” are they gonna let venezuela sort itself out or is this some kinda puppet regime in the making? 🀯

🀯 I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing for Venezuela... I mean, on one hand, it's like they've got their corrupt president locked up in the Big Apple πŸ—½οΈ, but what about all the people who are still suffering there? Like, what happens to them now? The US is basically taking over and saying they'll govern the country until a new government is established... that sounds super uncertain πŸ€”. I'm worried it's gonna be like a puppet government or something πŸŽͺ. And what about Maduro's wife? She was handcuffed too? That's just not right πŸ˜•. I guess only time will tell how this all plays out, but as a parent, my heart is with the Venezuelan people and their future πŸ‘§πŸ½.

What's going on? Can't believe they actually took him down πŸ’₯! I mean, we all knew Trump was gonna do something drastic to try and fix Venezuela, but this is wild 🀯. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing for Venezuela though...like, maybe he'll bring some order to the place? πŸ€” But what about Maduro's family? They're stuck in that NYC jail now 😞. And what about the implications for the US-Venezuela relationship? This could get messy fast πŸ’Έ. One thing's for sure tho - it's a game-changer for Venezuela, no matter how it plays out πŸŒͺ️

idk why trump did this πŸ€”, wasnt Maduro doin somethin wrong? πŸ€‘ like he wasnt helpin venezuela like hes supposed to be? πŸ˜’ Maduro's wife too? what about all the ppl who were pro him? are they just gonna lose their job and life cuz of one guy? πŸ’Έ and now trump is in charge? what does that even mean for venezuela? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ is this some kinda game he playin with them lives? 😬

just saw that maduro got caught by trump's forces lol what a move! 🀯 i mean, i'm all for the venezuelan ppl getting a chance to have a better gov, but is this really the way to do it? i've been saying this for ages - usa involvement in venezuela has always been super complicated. now that maduro's in nyc, what's next? is trump gonna become interim prez or something? πŸ€” also, can we talk about how much drama there was on the transport from NYC airport to mdc brooklyn? πŸš£β€β™€οΈ all that escort action tho
