this is just great another big corp getting even bigger and more powerful it's like they're not even trying to hide how much control they want over everything the idea of a single entity owning all these iconic shows and movies is terrifying for me it's like we're living in a dystopian novel where one person or company has all the power and what really gets me is that this deal was made possible because of antitrust pressure meaning they had to be forced into it by politicians who are basically saying "oh no don't let them get too powerful"
I'M SERIOUSLY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS MEGA-MERGER!!! 72 BILLION DOLLARS IS CRAZY TALK!!! WHO'S GOING TO BE THE BOSS NOW? NETFLIX OR WBD? IT'S NOT JUST THE FINANCIALS, IT'S THE FUTURE OF ENTERTAINMENT AS WE KNOW IT!!! CINEMA UNITED IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY WITH THEIR WARNINGS ABOUT JOB LOSSES AND THEATRICAL BUSINESS DECLINE... I GUESS ONLY TIME WILL TELL IF THIS DEAL WILL WORK OUT OR BE A DISASTER!!!
omg this is crazy $72 billion is insane!! i'm worried about the impact on the film industry tho cinema united is right to be concerned about 25% of box office closures and job losses... it's a scary thought! but at the same time, having all those awesome hbo shows on netflix sounds like a dream come true the only thing that worries me now is how this will change the entertainment landscape i guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out
this is crazy... $72 billion is wild i think its gonna have huge implications on how we consume movies and tv shows... idk if it's all for the best tho, 300 million subscribers is a lot... what if they start to prioritize streaming over theater? that would suck for the indie film scene
omg, $72 billion is CRAZY! i dont get why netflix needs to buy wbd tho maybe its just trying to own all our fave shows now like what if they cancel the sopranos or game of thrones?! dont wanna think about it, tbh cinema united is lowkey right tho job losses and closure of theaters would be a bummer hope the deal gets approved tho
