i'm not sure i buy the whole "ai-induced loneliness" thing... don't get me wrong, it's def worth exploring the mental health implications of tech like chatgpt, but isn't it possible that people are just using these tools to cope with existing issues? like, if someone's struggling with social anxiety, maybe they're not going to find a solution by chatting with a bot all day. we need more research on this, for sure... and what about the fact that humans have always used text as a way to interact? isn't it just an extension of how we've already been wired?
