Yungblud Gives Playful Shoutout to His Mature Fans
In a tongue-in-cheek post ahead of his Australian tour opener in Sydney, British alternative pop artist Yungblud has revealed that he's got a soft spot for his older female fans. The 28-year-old singer, real name Dominic Harrison, shared a multi-page update on Instagram with the caption: "Tell the cougars I'll see em Saturday night."
Harrison is clearly having fun, and in a recent interview with local journalist Kathy McCabe, he joked that his mature fans are a bit more aggressive - citing sharper nails as one of their distinguishing features. When asked about it, Harrison replied, "I'm down for it. It's definitely another generation's vibe but whatever man, rock'n'roll."
The post also includes some behind-the-scenes photos from the tour, including a clip from an article about his female fans and a snap with retired Australian cricket star David Warner.
Yungblud's IDOLS World Tour kicks off in Sydney on January 10th at Qudos Bank Arena, featuring support from Brisbane punk rock outfit Dune Rats. The tour is in support of his fourth studio album "Idols", which debuted at No. 4 on the ARIA Chart last June.
The singer recently cancelled all remaining performances from his 2025 US and Latin America shows due to health issues but seems to be back on track for this Australian leg. Fans can catch Yungblud live in Sydney and other cities across Australia throughout January before wrapping up in Perth on January 20th.

. I mean, we've seen so many artists talk down to their elders or pretend like they're not part of the fanbase. But this guy is just owning it and embracing the "cougars" vibe
