I'm not sure if I agree or disagree that Starmer's meeting with Zelenskyy is a good thing... It might be just what Ukraine needs to get some international support, but at the same time, we're talking about a coalition of nations potentially deploying troops to a war zone. That sounds super sketchy to me I mean, have you seen the state of Russia's economy? They can barely take care of themselves, let alone Ukraine It's all about politics and who gets what... Starmer says Ukraine must determine its own future, but I'm not convinced that means giving them more independence or anything We just don't know enough about the peace plan to be sure it'll work.

man I think it's sick that Starmer is showing up at Downing Street with Zelenskyy and Macron , like they're trying to send a strong message of unity against Russia . But seriously tho, I'm worried about this peace plan, if Ukraine gives away too much control to Moscow then it'll just become a puppet state like Belarus . this whole peace plan thing is so complicated... i mean, on one hand, it's great that European leaders are showing support for Ukraine and trying to find a way out of this conflict, but at the same time, you gotta wonder if they're just giving in to Putin's demands without really thinking through the long-term implications. like, what guarantees do we have that Russia won't just use a ceasefire as an excuse to keep pulling Ukraine under its wing? also, it's crazy that Starmer is putting so much emphasis on Ukraine's security - shouldn't he be trying to find ways to help them defend themselves, not just prop up the status quo?
