A 1-year-old boy has perished after plummeting from a fourth-floor window in an Edgewater neighborhood apartment building on Friday morning. The tragic incident occurred at around 11:30 am, when the child, Mukhsin Mirzoashra, tumbled from the window on the 5800 block of North Sheridan Road.
Mirzoashra was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston with life-threatening injuries, but unfortunately, his condition rapidly deteriorated. He suffered a fatal head injury and was pronounced dead just hours later at Lurie Children's Hospital around 4:40 pm.
