2/6: CBS Evening News

Authorities are investigating a new message in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, who vanished in New York City last year. The case has been reopened as authorities seek fresh leads to help find her.

Meanwhile, a man who carved intricate scale models of New York City landmarks is set to make his debut at a museum. Michael Malarkey has spent years creating detailed miniatures of the city's iconic buildings using nothing but paper and glue.

CBS News has obtained footage of some of his stunning creations, including a miniature version of the Empire State Building that stands over 2 feet tall. Malarkey says he draws inspiration from the real-life structures, carefully studying their details before translating them into scale model form.

Malarkey's artwork is now set to be showcased at the New-York Historical Society, where it will join other exhibits celebrating the city's architectural heritage. The museum has praised Malarkey's talent and dedication to his craft, calling him a "visionary artist."

๐Ÿค” So I'm thinking about this Nancy Guthrie case... it's been reopened which is good, but what's weird is that they're investigating a new message that's popped up. Like, how does that even work? Is someone trying to send a clue or something? ๐Ÿ“ And on the flip side, there's this guy Michael Malarkey creating these insane scale models of NYC landmarks... 2 feet tall Empire State Building is wild! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I mean, you gotta respect his dedication and attention to detail. But what really got me thinking is how some people might find solace in creative pursuits when something as tragic like the Nancy Guthrie case happens. It's a reminder that even in darkness, there's always room for beauty and art ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ’ซ

I'm like totally blown away by this scale model dude Michael Malarkey! ๐Ÿค” I think it's wild how sometimes a person goes missing and years later you get some new info that might help find them... but at the same time there are people out there doing amazing stuff like Michael Malarkey with his intricate scale models of NYC landmarks ๐Ÿ—ผ๏ธ. It just goes to show that even in the darkest times, there's still beauty and talent being created. I mean, have you seen those miniatures? 2 feet tall! That level of detail is insane ๐Ÿ’ฅ. Anyway, it's cool to see Malarkey's artwork get some recognition, especially at a museum like the New-York Historical Society ๐ŸŽจ. Maybe his passion for NYC architecture can inspire others to explore their own creativity ๐Ÿ˜Š.

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ So the authorities are finally getting off their butts to investigate Nancy Guthrie's disappearance... about time, right? Meanwhile, some dude is making a name for himself with his scale models of NYC landmarks and I'm just over here like... ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ who cares about intricate paper sculptures when someone's life is still missing? ๐Ÿ˜’ On the bright side, if Michael Malarkey's art can bring in crowds, maybe it'll help keep people's minds off the actual mystery at hand. Fingers crossed that this "visionary artist" actually contributes to solving the case ๐Ÿคž. Can't wait for more updates on Nancy... or maybe I'll just stick to admiring Malarkey's paper creations from afar ๐Ÿ“ฆ

On the flip side, Michael Malarkey's scale models are straight fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ! Those Empire State Building miniatures look insane. Im all for creativity and people expressing themselves through art. But at the same time, I mean, its just paper and glue, right? What's so special about that? Still, if it brings joy to people, then yeah, go Michael! ๐ŸŽจ
