2 SF Safeways to be redeveloped to add large housing complexes

Wow, can you imagine living above your grocery store 🤯? These new housing complexes are gonna be massive! 370 apartments at Bernal Heights and 526 at Outer Richmond... that's a lot of people moving in! Interesting how Safeway is all about growth, huh? 😊

I wonder what's going on with this Safeway thing... 🤔 They're gonna turn two grocery stores into housing complexes? That's crazy! 370 new apartments in Bernal Heights is a lot, I can imagine how busy that place will get when they open. And what about the employees, they'll be moving to other stores while it's being rebuilt? That must be stressful for them. 🤕

But at the same time, it's good that the company is trying to find new ways to use the space... I mean, housing is super hard to find in San Francisco, so if this brings in some new residents and helps the local economy, that's a plus 🤑.

I just hope they don't mess up the community feel of these neighborhoods... it's always hard to balance progress with preserving what makes a place special 💕.

man this is crazy i mean i get it businesses gotta adapt but transforming two of san francisco's oldest grocery stores into housing complexes? that's just wild 🤯 370 new apartments in one spot and 526 in another... i worry about the gentrification aspect here are we gonna lose all the long time residents who've made those neighborhoods their home? plus what happens to the community character of san francisco when everything starts getting turned into high-rise buildings? i'm not sure this is a good thing for the city 🤔

I'm so sad to see those iconic Safeway stores get torn down 🤕. I remember shopping at my grandparents' house with them when we were kids, and they always had that big ol' bakery section that smelled like heaven 😋. And now it's all being replaced by apartments... I don't know if that's progress or not? The thought of 370 new people moving in is gonna change the vibe of those neighborhoods for sure 🤝. Plus, what about the employees? They're already having to relocate, and then their store gets bigger afterwards? That just doesn't feel like a win-win situation to me 😐.
