Teen Stabbings: Two Queens Teens Arrested in Deadly Attack that Left 17-Year-Old Dead
A tragic incident in the Queens neighborhood of Woodhaven has left a 17-year-old boy dead after being stabbed multiple times. Josue Argudo was found critically wounded on Friday afternoon and later pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital. According to police, two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fatal attack.
The investigation into the case revealed that Argudo was attacked around 3:45 p.m. on Jamaica Avenue and 76th Street, where he had been walking home from school. Police released photos of the suspects and identified them as a 17-year-old boy who turned himself in to detectives, as well as an 18-year-old Derek Trejo.
Both teens have been charged with murder and weapons possession, and were arraigned in court late Sunday before being sent to jail pending further investigation. It appears that Trejo had already faced charges for a separate incident involving a knife, but was released on bail without facing those charges.
According to the Queens district attorney's office, Argudo lived only several blocks away from where he was stabbed, and police are still investigating what sparked the altercation between the two teens. Rep. Nydia Velázquez has expressed her disappointment over the killing, stating that "this violence in our community is unacceptable and must end."

this is just so sad... i mean what can you even say when you see a 17 yr old life cut short like that? two teens stabbed him multiple times and now they're behind bars 
. it's crazy how some people think nothing of using a knife to hurt others, especially someone who was just walking home from school 
. i hope the community comes together to support the victim's family during this tough time 
, and that something positive can come out of this tragedy 
. And it's wild that two teens got charged with murder over this... shouldn't there be some way to resolve conflicts without hurting each other? 
this just shows how brutal things can get between teens nowadays it's like, we're supposed to be teaching them to resolve conflicts peacefully not resorting to violence 
and now a poor kid is dead... Josue Argudo was just 17, what did he even do to deserve that? 
and what really gets me is that these teens were already known for knife incidents before this one... so like, how did they not learn from their past mistakes? 
the system's got 2 step up & prevent these kinda incidents in the future 
maybe we should have more programs 2 help kids work thru their problems instead of just throwing 'em in jail

I wonder what sparked this fight between the two teens did it have something to do with school or social media stuff? 
, with kids carrying around knives and being violent towards each other. it's like we're expecting them to be experts in conflict resolution instead of teaching them basic social skills 
. the fact that one of the teens was already facing charges for a knife incident and got released on bail tells you something about our justice system... how can someone who already showed they couldn't control themselves be trusted with leniency again? 
! 17 is way too young to lose someone like that

These teens are still so young, they should be in high school, not dealing with adult problems like violence. And what really gets me is that one of them had already been in trouble before, but was let out on bail?
