This is just so sad... 17 is way too young to lose their life like that. I'm all for standing up for what's right and defending ourselves, but stabbing someone just because you're upset or angry is not the answer. It's like, we need to find better ways to resolve our issues without hurting others.
And poor Josue's family... they must be going through so much pain right now . Funeral expenses can be a huge burden, and it's nice that people are coming together to support them. But what about the long-term effects on Josue's friends and community? It's gonna take a lot of work to rebuild trust and make this neighborhood feel safe again.
Let's hope Derek Trejo gets some serious help and turns his life around . And Rep. Velázquez is right, we do need to end this kind of violence in our communities. We can do better than this
I'm still trying to process what happened... I know we have our share of problems at school with bullying and stuff, but stabbing someone is just crazy . It's like, Josue was just walking home from school like a normal day, and then BAM! He gets attacked. It's so senseless. And now his family has to deal with the aftermath... funeral expenses, yeah that can be really tough on people .
I feel bad for Rep. Velázquez too, she's always trying to make our community a better place. I guess you never know what's going to happen though. Anyway, I just hope they catch whoever did this and bring them to justice .
Ugh, can you believe this? Two teens stab someone to death over a walk home from school? Like what even is that?! I'm so not surprised though, it's all about these kids thinking they own the place and no one else matters . Josue Argudo was just minding his own biz, trying to get home safely, and those two teens go and ruin it for him. No bail for Trejo? What a joke! He already had charges pending and now he's free again? It's like the system is just giving him a free pass .
And don't even get me started on how this community is reacting. Rep. Velázquez saying it's "unacceptable" but what's she going to do about it? It seems like everyone's just talking around it without actually doing anything . We need some real change here, not just a bunch of empty words.
