In Class 7A, St. Rita thrashed Hersey, 56-42, and Batavia outlasted Glenbard North, 27-21. Downers Grove North held its own against Lincoln-Way West, 28-10. On Saturday, Batavia will face off against St. Rita, while the winner of Downers Grove North's matchup against either St. Charles North or Brother Rice will advance.
Class 6A saw Nazareth secure a 24-21 victory over Lake Zurich and Fenwick claim a 49-21 triumph over Burlington Central. East St. Louis proved unbeatable, dispatching Simeon, 0-0. Next weekend, Fenwick will face Nazareth and East St. Louis will meet St. Laurence.
