I'm literally so shocked by this news
... but at the same time, I know it's not like the first hit-and-run incident we heard about last year or anything... and yet, here we are again, with a young child's life lost to senseless reckless driving. But is it really our fault that drivers don't stop to help? Like, shouldn't they be expecting other people on the road who might need their assistance?
And what really gets me is how quickly everyone wants answers, but like, we're still waiting for some kinda justice here... meanwhile, families are left with so much grief and no closure. I know it's easy to say "it could've been prevented if people just followed the rules", but what about all those other factors that lead up to this kind of tragedy? Can't we at least try to be more empathetic towards each other while still holding people accountable for their actions?
