A 4-year-old girl was rushed to hospital after being shot in a Chicago apartment building on Tuesday evening. According to police, the child was inside an apartment at around 6:10 p.m. in the 3100 block of West Franklin Boulevard when she suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her left leg.
The child was quickly transported to Stroger Hospital where she received treatment and was listed as being in good condition. Police confirmed that the girl had been shot alone, with no other individuals present at the time of the incident.
As of now, no one has been taken into custody, leaving authorities to investigate and determine what happened before the shooting occurred.
