A 10p masterpiece! The golden age of crisp packet design, from Chipsticks to Frazzles to Hedgehogs

OMG, 140 pages of retro crisp packets? 😂 That's like a time capsule for snacking enthusiasts! I'm not sure if it's worth the cash though, I mean, we're talking about old packets here, some of them probably have dust and dandruff on them . But hey, for those who grew up with crisps as a fave snack or design buff, this is like a dream come true. The artwork tho? That's where it gets interesting... space raiders 🚀 and Dennis the Menace are cool, but what about the other gems? I need to see some rare ones in there!

just had to get my hands on this new book about old chip packets 🍟📚 its crazy how some of these designs were so iconic back in the day like sonic and spice girls packet theyre just memories now but still super nostalgic lol think its cool that theyve got a whole archive of them now too, must be nice to have all those childhood faves in one place.

This book is literally my happy place! I mean, who wouldn't want a 140-page compendium of old crisp packet designs? I grew up in the 90s, and I'm still nostalgic for those sick Frazzles and Snaps packets 🤩. What's so special about these packets, you ask? Well, it's not just the food inside (although, let's be real, who doesn't love a good flavor of bacon or roast turkey?). It's the design – oh man, the design! From Dennis the Menace to Sonic the Hedgehog, each packet is like a mini artwork that transports me back to my childhood. I remember spending hours poring over those lunchboxes and tuck shop treats, dreaming up creative ways to eat them on-the-go.

I love how Chris Packet curated this collection – it's not just about the crisps themselves, but the stories behind each design. The way he hunted down rare packets in train tunnels and stuff is like something out of a movie 🎥. And Annebella Pollen's foreword about crisps as "cultural detritus" really got me thinking – who knew something so humble could hold such power?

As someone who loves vintage design, I'm obsessed with this book. It's like my own personal treasure trove of nostalgia (pun intended 🏹). Trust me when I say that if you're a fellow crisp enthusiast or just love good design, you need to get your hands on this ASAP!

🤔 what's really goin' on here? like, they're just casually unearthing old crisps packets from 70-2000 like it's no big deal 😂 but have u considered the actual agenda behind this "nostalgia" thing? like, we're not just talkin' about happy memories of childhood snacks, we're talkin' about some deep-seated emotional connection that's been cleverly manipulated by the crisps industry 🤑. and what's with all these regional brands? are they tryin' to tell us somethin'? 👀 like, Penryn, Blackpool, Wigan... sounds like a secret code or somethin'.

omg u gotta get ur hands on this book!!! 🤩 140 pages of retro crisps packet goodness is just what i needed to take me back to my snacking days lol. chipsticks, frazzles, snaps... all the classics! and can we talk about the design tho? like who thought dennis the menace's bacon & baked bean flavor was a good idea? 🤣 sonic's salt & vinegar packet is giving me major nostalgia now too. i'm literally crying over here thinking about my childhood lunchboxes and after-school snacks 🤯 annebella pollen's foreword is so deep tho, crisps packets as cultural detritus holding memories of autonomy... i mean, who knew?! 🤓
