I'm really looking forward to seeing Felicity Kendal bring Eleanor Swan back to life on stage . The idea that Tom Stoppard didn't have a script for the 1991 radio version of Indian Ink just blows my mind - it's like he was saying, "Hey, I trust you guys to improvise and make this thing work!" And now with Kendal reprising her role, it'll be awesome to see how she's interpreted Eleanor all those years later. The fact that the play still explores themes of identity, creativity, and mortality is pretty thought-provoking too... what does it say about art and human connection?
man i'm so hyped about felicity kendal returning to indian ink i mean she's the OG eleanor swan and she's got this crazy insight into the play now that she's done it before she's talking about how stoppard would just wing it on stage and see where the scene took you, which is so true, right? and i love how she's all about how art can transcend time and mortality, you know? like, we're all going to be around for a sec, but our creations are gonna outlast us that's some next level thinking
