A propos - Trump administration 'clearly within its rights' to seek federal law enforced, expert says

🤔 I'm kinda worried about where this is headed... like, what even is going on here? The feds are basically trying to use the military to deal with immigration issues? 🚫 It feels like they're overstepping their bounds and disregarding the rights of people who aren't even citizens. And honestly, it's got me thinking - what's next? Are we gonna see soldiers patrolling our streets or something? 😲 It's all so unclear right now...

lol what's with the pentagon thinkin they can just deploy troops like they own the place 🤣, like anyone forgot about that whole war thing? 🤯 and now they're gonna use our military to enforce some deportation policy, yeah because that's exactly how it works 🙄. I mean Ilan Wurman can say whatever he wants but at the end of the day it's all just a big mess 🚮. And Sharon Gaffney is right on point tho, the trump admin is like 'hey let's use the military to do our dirty work' 💪🏽 and that's not even mentioning the civil liberties groups who are gonna get their feathers ruffled 😂.

🤔 I'm not sure if this is such a good idea... I mean, 1500 soldiers? That's like sending a whole army to one state! It just seems so extreme. And what about the protesters? Are they going to get hurt or arrested because of some government memo? 🚫 The military should be used for defense purposes only, not for enforcing laws that go against public opinion. We need more civil dialogue and less brute force. I'm all for enforcing the law, but not at the expense of our democratic values. Can't we just talk things out instead of sending in the troops? 😬

I'm not sure I agree with this move by the US Pentagon 🤔. Deploying 1,500 active-duty soldiers to Minnesota just because there are protests against deportation policies seems like a lot of overkill. Can't we find other ways to address these issues without resorting to military force? 💪 It's all about finding that balance between enforcing federal law and respecting citizens' rights 🤝. What do you guys think? Should the government be using the military to enforce immigration policies, or is this just a case of using fear as a deterrent? 😬

just saw this news about alaska soldiers being sent to minnesota and i gotta say, seems kinda fishy 🐟. like, whats the point of deploying troops over immigration policy protests? feels like a PR stunt to me. dont get me wrong, i understand people are upset but using military power to enforce deportation policies is just too much 🤯. cant we just have a peaceful conversation about this instead of resorting to force? 🤔 [https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53210966]

I'm low-key worried about this whole thing... I mean, what if these soldiers are sent in there and people get hurt? 🤔 The government's always going on about protecting us, but it seems like they're more interested in enforcing their deportation policies than actually helping the community.

And let's be real, who really knows what's going on here? The Pentagon's just following orders, but what if those orders are wrong? 💁‍♀️ It's all so confusing, and I don't know about the law stuff... Professor Wurman seems to think it's all cool, but what if someone sues them? 🤷‍♂️

I guess what really gets me is that people are actually protesting against this in the first place. Can you imagine if everyone just sat back and let the government do whatever they wanted? 😱 That would be a disaster, man... We need to stand up for our rights and make sure our voices are heard. 💪
