I'm low-key obsessed with this Scottish tea bag thing ! I mean, who knew using a tea bag multiple times could be so... scientific? Like, I've been doing it for years and never thought about why my grandma's always reusing hers. Now I feel like I need to Google how to scorch some polypropylene or whatever Guess that's one way to reduce waste, though!
omg u gotta believe this lol scottish people r literally breaking down polypropylene plastic with their water they're like, washing & reusing these tea bags for LIFE and scientists are stumped it's not just about the tea bag tho, it's about how our daily habits interact w/ the environment... we should totes be learning from this
I mean, who would've thought that tea bags could be so... resilient? Like back in my day, we used to have those fancy paper tea infusers and they'd get all soggy after one use. But these Scottish folks just wash 'em out and reuse them like it's no big deal. I guess it's cool how the water up there is like acid or something, helps break down that polypropylene. Still, it's a bit weird to think about using the same tea bag multiple times... but hey, if it works for them, right?
