Add to playlist: the long-lost lo-fi pop of Australian nun Sister Irene O'Connor and the week's best tracks

🤦‍♂️ Just heard about Sister Irene O'Connor's old lo-fi pop gem getting reissued after like, forever 🕰️. Some people might be excited about this but let's not forget that her lyrics are basically just devotion songs that could've been written by anyone else in the 70s 🙏. And honestly, it's kinda weird that she started producing music in the 50s and only now is it getting any attention 🤔. The fact that she had a "fellow nun" who taught her how to use audio tech is just another reminder that we're living in a world where some people are still trying to make music with technology that's, like, ancient 💻. I guess if you're into that sort of thing, the reissue might be cool 🎵 but for me, it's just more evidence that our cultural cache is being slowly depleted 😔

omg u guys i just found out about this crazy old album by sister irene o'connor 🤯 it's like a time capsule of folk pop vibes with electronic elements, what even is that?! 😂 anyway its getting reissued next month by freedom to spend and i'm low-key hyped for it. i mean, who would've thought a nun from the 70s could make music that sounds so modern? 🤔 also its wild to think she was making this kind of stuff back in the 50s, recording on four-track tape recorders and all 💻 like what other secret talents did nuns have hiding up their sleeves?! 😂

OMG, I'm so stoked to hear about Sister Irene O'Connor's lo-fi pop gem being reissued 🎶! It's like a dream come true that this hidden gem is finally getting the spotlight it deserves. I mean, who wouldn't want to listen to some enchanting 70s folk-pop vibes infused with electronic elements? The fact that she was making music in the 50s while at her convent and working with Marimil Lobregat, another talented nun, is just mind-blowing! 💥 It's like we're uncovering a piece of history here. And can you imagine listening to this album for the first time? It must be like stepping into a magical world 🌙! I'm all about exploring new sounds and discovering old treasures, and this reissue is like the ultimate score 🎉!

I'm so over the whole nostalgia thing, I mean what's next? Releasing some old nun's music and expecting everyone to be like "oh wow, this is so cool"? Newsflash, it's just Sister Irene O'Connor playing her guitar and singing some weird songs. And don't even get me started on how they're trying to make her sound modern by calling it a "mirage" - like she's some kind of underground electronic artist or something 🤣. The fact that people are actually excited about this reissue is just laughable, I mean come on guys, it's an old record made in the 70s...
