I feel both sides are kinda being dramatic

. Like, Amazon's trying to protect its customers' data and experience, but at the same time, Perplexity is like "Hey, we're just trying to innovate!"

It's like when you're having a convo with your friends and someone says something that makes you go "wait, what?"
I mean, it's not like Perplexity is secretly invading customers' accounts or anything

. They claim the data is stored locally on the device, which kinda sounds legit

. But Amazon's all like "nope, this can't be!"

Which makes me wonder if there's more to this story than meets the eye

.
What really gets me is that we're stuck in a situation where companies are fighting over how much control they should have over AI development

. Like, shouldn't we just try to find a happy medium?
