I think this is gonna be a wild ride! With $20 billion on the table, they gotta have some serious heavy hitters step in as master devs . I'm all for upgrading the track level tho, that's like, super necessary considering those new tunnels are comin' . And omg, one-floor passenger concourse? Sounds so much more chill than this crazy multilevel mess . But, like, how's the city gonna feel about relocatin' Madison Square Garden? That's some big changes right there!
So like this whole Penn Station thing is just gonna be a master developer? And they're hoping to get it done by 2027? That's gonna be a lot of work... I mean, $20 billion is crazy . Are they sure they can do it without any delays? The Gateway project has been stalled and stuff... what makes them think this one will go smoother?
I think it's gonna be a mess . $20 billion is insane, what if they screw it up? We're talkin' a single-floor concourse instead of multilevel, that sounds like a recipe for disaster. And good luck with that study on through-running, I mean who knows how that's gonna work out. They just wanna push stuff through without thinkin' it through. What if the city can't even get the permits done on time? The Garden thing is just weird, why move it or not. I got a bad feelin about this whole thing...
i'm so down on this whole idea amtrak and gov just gonna throw $20 billion at penn station without thinking about how it's gonna affect the community?? they're already planning to relocate madison square garden, what about all the businesses and residents who'll be displaced? and dont even get me started on the study on through-running at penn station... sounds like a recipe for disaster if mta and nj transit commuter trains can share tracks, wont that just lead to more congestion and delays?
so like amtrak is trying to upgrade penn station but its gonna be super expensive $20 billion they're looking for a partner to help design and fund it because they want to get it done by 2027 and president trump said he's gonna terminate the gateway project but amtrak isn't worried about that it's just gonna be one of the biggest construction projects ever
they're also considering a new design for penn station with a single floor concourse, new entrances, and more natural light and possibly even moving madison square garden it's gonna be a big deal for amtrak to revamp this train station and they're hoping to find some smart partners to help them make it happen
