Armed man shot and killed by officer after suspicious person call, HPD says

man... another senseless tragedy 😔 this guy was a loving dad and struggling with mental health issues... can't even imagine what his family is going through right now 🤕 30 days is gonna be too long for that footage to come out... hope it provides some answers, but also don't wanna rush into conclusions 🙏
 
I mean, can you imagine being in the suspect's shoes? Struggling with mental health issues, having a family that loves him... and then the cops show up 🤕. It's like, I get it, they gotta do their job, but can't they just talk to him instead of shooting? The department's saying there was a prior disturbance at the house, so what was going on there, huh? Was the suspect really armed with a gun or was it all just a big misunderstanding? 🤔

And the fact that his family is describing him as a loving father who's struggling... that's like, really sad, you know? It makes me wonder if the officer involved even knew about the mental health issues or if they just did what they thought was right at the time. I'm not making any accusations, but it's all just so... confusing 🤷‍♀️.

I'm curious to see how this investigation goes down and what we learn from the bodycam footage 📹. Maybe we'll finally get some answers about what really happened that day.
 
🤕 this is so sad man, a father lost his life in front of his family... its just devastating for them 🤕, and now we got another police shooting that's gonna spark a lot of debate 💔. i feel bad for the officer involved too, but at the same time, u gotta wonder if there were other ways to resolve this situation peacefully 🙄. they're releasing bodycam footage soon tho, so hopefully it'll give us some answers about what really went down 📹. my only hope is that we can all learn from this and find a way to support people who are struggling with mental health 💕. it's just another example of how complex these situations are 🤯
 
I think it's super unfair to jump to conclusions about the cop who did this 🤔... but at the same time, I totally get why people are saying he was reckless and should've tried to de-escalate the situation 😳. I mean, bodycam footage is gonna be out soon, so we'll know for sure what went down... but until then, it's hard to say whether the cop was justified in using force 💔. And, honestly, can't we just talk about mental health issues and how we need to support people struggling with that stuff without demonizing them? 🤷‍♂️ It's a super complex situation, and I don't think anyone has all the answers...
 
man this just feels like another chapter in a never-ending story of tragedy 🤕 it's like we're always waiting for that one person to snap under the pressure and then we're left picking up the pieces... i feel bad for the guy, his family is right, he was a loving father struggling with some demons. but at the same time, you gotta wonder what would've happened if someone had intervened sooner? or if the police had just kept their cool 🤔 it's not an easy one to answer, we need to keep having these conversations and try to find that middle ground where everyone feels safe 😊
 
🤔 so yeah it's another one of those situations where you gotta wonder what led up to it all... like, was there something that could've been done differently? 🤷‍♂️ the fact that there was a prior disturbance at the home does raise some concerns about mental health resources being available. I mean, we're always talking about how important it is for law enforcement to be trained on de-escalation techniques, but sometimes it feels like they're not getting the support they need either 💔. and now this family has to go through the pain of losing someone to what could've been prevented... 🌎
