Arsenal hope to move Everton fixture after Palace match set for 23 December

Arsenal are hoping to switch their Carabao Cup quarter-final match against Everton to a different date after Palace's request to postpone their game pushed it back from December 16th to 23rd. The league initially accepted Palace's plea, but ultimately decided that the delay wouldn't be enough for Arsenal and they would still face three matches in five days.

Manager Mikel Arteta is keen on avoiding this situation with his team, stating that playing two games in just three days makes "no sense". He hopes that the Premier League will rearrange their match to avoid this congested fixture list.

However, not everyone's happy about the delay - the EFL has expressed frustration at having to make constant concessions due to European competitions taking up too much of teams' time and resources. This is causing strain on domestic clubs such as Arsenal.
