just when you think australia is all about vegemite sandwiches ... now this kid's online threat against israeli prez has got everyone spooked . i mean, 10 yrs in jail? that's like a whole lotta aussie nites out . and the protests, they're gonna be epic . gotta feel for the palestinian ppl, stuck under israel's occupation . but at the same time, can't we all just get along? maybe it's time for australia to have a united front on this one?
I just don't get why people have to be so dramatic about this... like, yeah sure, there's some tension between Israel and Palestine, but a chill visit from the President isn't gonna solve everything. Can we focus on finding common ground instead of throwing shade? And btw, a 10-year sentence for an online threat is kinda harsh, don't you think? What's next, a 20-year sentence for a tweet about politics?
OMG, can't believe a 19-yr-old Aussie is charged for online threats against Israel's prez Isaac Herzog ! This is so serious and has everyone talking, like #IsraelVsPalestine is lit . Govt's extension of invite was probably a bad idea, given all the protests planned across cities... like, 2 dozen cities?! . Pro-Palestine groups are right to be upset about Israel's actions in Gaza #GazaUnderAttack . This whole thing is so messed up... can't we just talk it out instead of resorting to threats & protests? . Anyway, the rally in Sydney on Monday is gonna be interesting... hoping for a peaceful gathering .
ugh i feel like australia is trying to sweep this whole thing under the rug lol like pro-palestine groups are just being dramatic but at the same time who can blame them? the fact that herzog is even coming here is super sus idk about revoking his invite tho might make things worse
OMG, this is so crazy ! I cant believe some Aussie teen thought it was a good idea to threaten the Israeli President online . I mean, I get why people are protesting against Herzog's visit and all that, but threats? That's just not cool, you know? It's like, let's keep the discussion civil and peaceful, even when we disagree .
I'm also kinda worried about the protests and restrictions planned. I hope everyone stays safe and respectful . But at the same time, it's good that people are speaking out against what they see as injustices .
What do you guys think? Should Herzog still come to Australia or should he reconsider?
