Bach: Sonatas & Partitas album review – Capuçon brings warmth, restraint and reflection

🤕 Another violinist finally does Bach justice. I mean, it's about time someone showcased those solo sonatas and partitas with some real musicality. Capuçon's got the tone down pat, but I still can't shake the feeling that he's just phoning it in. That dramatic bourrée? More like a desperate attempt to stand out from the crowd 😅. Still, I guess it's better than listening to someone butcher these masterpieces... or worse, listen to those awful violin YouTube tutorials 🤦‍♂️
