Back on track: how lockdown led to a new operatic version of The Railway Children

I'm loving this! The way they turned lockdown into a creative opportunity is just genius 💡. I mean, who needs normal processes when you've got talent and determination? It's so cool that they were able to bring the opera together without anyone even knowing what was going on 🤫. And sending a printed copy of the full work with a fun-size Wispa bar? Genius marketing move! It's like they knew it would get people talking 😂. I'm excited to see how this production turns out, especially since Stephen Langridge is directing it himself. Fingers crossed it'll be amazing 🤞

OMG 🤯 I'm actually so stoked about this new opera adaptation of The Railway Children 🚂🎶! I mean, who would've thought that a lockdown would spark some magic ✨ between Mark-Anthony Turnage and Rachael Hewer? They're like, total kindred spirits or something 💕. And using a workshop-style process to get the singers involved? Genius 👏! It's like they took all those Zoom calls and finally found a way to make art happen 📚.

I love that they snuck around with the project during lockdown, no one knew what was going on 😜. But once it came out, I was totally hooked - sending a Wispa bar along with the script? LOL, so clever! And Stephen Langridge jumping on board? Yeah, this is gonna be epic 🎉. Can't wait to see how they turn E Nesbit's classic into something fresh and new!

I'm so down for this new opera, The Railway Children sounds like a cool mashup of old-school charm and modern vibes! Who knew lockdowns could be so productive? 🤪 I love how Turnage & Hewer just went for it, got creative, and turned a pandemic into an artistic collaboration. And that marketing ploy with the Wispa bar is genius! 🍫👏

🤔 The way they worked on this opera during lockdown is actually kinda genius 🎵. I mean, who needs meetings and whatnot when you can just jam with some talented singers and see where it takes you? 😊 It's like a really cool, musical version of a game of musical chairs... but instead of chairs, there are operas! 🎶

🤯 can't believe how some lockdowns turned into amazing creative collaborations I mean E Nesbit's classic 'The Railway Children' just got a modern opera twist thanks to Mark-Anthony Turnage and Rachael Hewer it's wild that they were able to bring in talented singers for a workshop-style process without anyone knowing 🤫 then they sent this printed copy with a fun-size Wispa bar to Stephen Langridge's office lol what even is that? anyway can't wait to see the full production

omg u guys think this is just a coincidence but what if turnage & hewer actually had some kinda connection or agreement w/ glyndebourne 2 begin w/ this project? like, why would they send a printed copy of the opera w/ a wispa bar?? that's not exactly subtle marketing 🤔... and didn't langridge just happen 2 be in a position 2 greenlight the project after the lockdown was over? maybe there's more 2 it than meets the eye 😏
