The 78-year-old crooner was set to begin performing on February 12, but instead, he has pushed back the dates to March 26, 27, and 28.
According to Manilow's statement released on social media, "I'm doing great and recovering very well after my surgery... I've been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic." He added that, with his doctor's guidance, he decided to postpone his residency dates to focus on healing and preparing for his upcoming tour.
While Manilow is still scheduled to kick off his arena tour in Tampa, Florida, on February 27, several cities across the country will be on his agenda, including Nashville, Orlando, Charleston, Portland, and more. The tour is set to wrap up in Duluth, Georgia, at Gas South Arena on April 29.
Tickets for Manilow's initial residency dates will be refunded, but fans can look forward to hearing him perform at Westgate once again in the coming weeks. I mean, he was having such an amazing time getting ready for his residency and now he's gotta put everything on hold? It's like time is moving so fast and we can't help but feel a little left behind 
. At the same time though, I'm glad to see him being responsible about taking care of himself...

. Now, at 78, he's still rocking and going strong! I mean, who else can say they've been making music for over five decades? That's dedication 
. I hope he takes all the time he needs to recover, though - we don't want him rushing back onto that stage if he's not 100% 
u guys wont believe what just happened with Barry Manilow's residency... like I got some tea from a source close to him and apparently he had cancer surgery ASAP after performing at his last show 
. His music has been a huge part of my life for ages, and I know lots of other fans feel the same way 
like who needs stress when u can just chill out & focus on getting better anyway 
He's gotta be exhausted from all those concerts, and now he's gonna have to rush through the recovery process just so he can fit in some more shows... what's next, a comeback tour at 90?
