Bears coach Ben Johnson says the colder the better for playoff game against warm-weather Rams on Sunday

Bears Coach Ben Johnson Hails Freezing Temperatures as Advantage in Upcoming Rams Game

Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson is embracing the cold, saying that the freezing temperatures predicted for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams could be a significant advantage for his team. The forecast shows highs of just 18 degrees and lows of 8 degrees, making it one of the coldest games of the season.

The Bears have played several outdoor games this year, but none as chilly as the expected conditions on Sunday. Johnson has pointed to Matthew Stafford's experience playing in cold weather, citing his successful performance in a snowy playoff game against the Eagles last year. However, he acknowledges that the Rams' passing game may be affected by the extreme cold.

Johnson would be thrilled if the temperature drops even further, saying "I do like the cold." The Bears have not played in temperatures under 20 degrees since a game at the Packers last season, and this will be their coldest game of the year so far.

Ugh, I'm not buying it 🤔. Can't we just play games in normal weather conditions for once? Freezing temps don't sound like fun to me 😓. And what's up with coaches thinking they can control the weather 🌫️? It's just a bunch of hot air (pun intended) 💨. I mean, if the Rams' passing game is affected by the cold, that's just part of the challenge... isn't it? 🤷‍♂️. Anyway, I'm sure the Bears will try to make the most of it, but personally, I'd rather be watching a game in a cozy stadium on a warm day ☀️.

idk how ben johnson thinks freezing temps are an advantage lol, like isn't it gonna affect his QB's accuracy? i mean, stafford has played in snow before but that was a playoff game not some random sunday afternoon game... and what about the rest of his team? they're not exactly known for their toughness 🤣

omg can u imagine playing football in that cold?! 🤩 i think ben johnson is crazy for saying it's an advantage lol what if stafford gets frostbite tho? 😂 and isn't it gonna affect not just his passing game but also the rest of the team like how they're gonna tackle or run with the ball?

omg u gotta love ben johnson's positivity!!! 🤩 he's trying to spin the freezing temps as an advantage for his team, and honestly i can see that 😂 think about it - the rams' passing game might struggle in those conditions, but the bears are all about defense! ⚔️ plus, matthew stafford has played in the snow before, so who's gonna give him a free pass? 🤷‍♂️ anyway, i'm rooting for the bears to take it home - cold weather or not! ❄️

🥶 I'm low-key hoping the temps drop to like -10 degrees lol, can't imagine how brutal it'd be for the Rams' offense! Matthew Stafford's experience is definitely a plus for the Bears, but it'll be interesting to see if the cold takes its toll on both teams. Coach Johnson's enthusiasm about the cold is pretty entertaining though 😂, might just become his thing this season. The key will be can the Bears' defense keep it up in those conditions? 🤔

Oh man, I feel for that team! Playing in freezing temps is no joke! 😬 You gotta respect Ben Johnson's thinking though, if it gives his team an edge, he's gonna go with it. But at the same time, Matthew Stafford has to be worried about his passing game being affected like that. It's a tough call, but I think the Rams might struggle more than the Bears in that cold. 🤔

I'm actually kinda stoked about the cold weather forecast for the Rams vs Bears game 🤩. I mean, Ben Johnson's got a point - if Matthew Stafford can still shred it in snowy conditions, why not freezing temps? Plus, the Bears have been playing outdoor games all season and they seem to be handling it no problem. It'll be interesting to see how the Rams' passing game fares though... might be a bit of a challenge 🤔. Bring on the cold - I hope it's even chillier than predicted ❄️!

I gotta say, Ben Johnson is on point 🤔! People are gonna talk about how cold it's gonna be, but I think that's just an excuse. The Rams' passing game has been struggling all season anyway 😒. And Stafford played in a snowstorm and still killed it 🎯. He's not gonna let a little cold stop him. Plus, the Bears have got some tough guys on their team who can handle the elements ❄️. It's actually good for them to play in freezing temps - they'll be like bears themselves, huh? 😂

idk why ben johnson is hyping up the cold lol what about the bears defense tho? they got torched by the patriots last week can they handle 0 degree temps? also stafford's passing game is gonna get wrecked in that kinda weather 🤣. i dont think its a good idea for him to be out there like a maniac all over the field...

I think it's kinda funny how Coach Johnson is embracing the cold - I mean, who doesn't love playing in frosty conditions? 🥶 But seriously, it'll be interesting to see how the Rams' passing game holds up against that chill. Stafford seems like a pro, but you can never rule out a bad day, right? 🤔 On the other hand, if the Bears can capitalize on some turnovers and get their defense going, they might just have a shot at winning. Fingers crossed for a thrilling game! ⚡

omg can you believe ben johnson is literally stoked about the freezing temps lol i mean yeah its def gonna be cold on sunday but idk if thats really an advantage for the bears...i guess matthew stafford played well in snowy conditions last yr so thats cool but what about the rams passing game tho? ill be watching that one closely 🤔😬

I'm loving this guy's vibes 😎 - Ben Johnson embracing the cold like it's his jam. I mean, can you blame him? There's something romantic about watching football in the snow, like a old-school NHL playoff game 🏒️. But at the same time, I gotta give props to Johnson for calling out Stafford's experience playing in the cold - that's some solid prep work right there.

And yeah, let's be real, the Rams' passing game might get hosed by these temps ❄️. I'm not sure how much they'll be able to muster up on offense when it feels like you could breathe out and see your breath 😂. But hey, if Johnson thinks this cold is gonna give 'em an edge, I'm all for it 👊. Bring it on, Bears!

omg can you believe this? like ben johnson thinks freezing temps are an advantage? I mean i guess its true that some teams are more used to playing in cold weather but 18 degrees lol thats crazy cold!!! 🤣 what if stafford gets frostbite or somethin?! 🥶 at least the bears have played outdoor games before so maybe theyll be fine... but whats with ben johnsons "i do like the cold" comment tho? is he trying to psyche himself up or something? 😂

omg is ben johnson for real tho? the bears are gonna win cuz it's COLD outside lol... like seriously though, people think its a big deal that it's freezing? newsflash, football players wear gloves & hats already. and yeah matthew stafford played in the snow before so what's new? this just gives me an excuse to drink hot chocolate while watching the game
