Bears will have 25th pick in this year's draft

The Chicago Bears' playoff run came to an end in stunning fashion on Sunday night, as they fell short of making it to the NFC Championship Game. Despite their impressive 11-6 regular season record, the team couldn't quite get over the hump against division rival Los Angeles Rams.

A thrilling 20-17 overtime victory for the Rams secured a spot in the championship game, leaving the Bears' dreams of an extended postseason run in tatters. The Bears' inability to capitalize on several scoring opportunities, including a potential game-winning touchdown attempt, proved costly.

The loss also means that the Bears will have to wait until April to find out where their 25th pick in this year's NFL Draft falls. This marks the latest in a recent string of high draft picks for Chicago, who haven't had much luck when it comes to securing top-tier talent through the first round since 2011.

The Rams' victory also highlighted the importance of weather conditions in NFL games. The officials on hand deemed Sunday night's contest, which was played in temperatures below freezing, as an outdoor game. This meant that the Bears would have had to convert a relatively short field goal attempt into a two-point conversion if they were to take the lead with time remaining.

While the loss stings, the Bears' postseason run has provided fans with a renewed sense of hope and optimism for the future. The team's impressive 11-6 regular season record bodes well for the long haul, as they will now look to make some key offseason moves in order to stay competitive in the NFC Central division.

man, i'm so bummed out for my friends who are chicago bears fans πŸ€• they put up a sick 11-6 regular season record and still didn't make it to the championship game πŸ˜” it's crazy how close they came to beating the rams in overtime tho... 20-17 is a tough loss to swallow πŸ’” but on the bright side, they get to wait until april for their draft pick 🀞 and we all know they need to make some big moves this offseason to stay competitive in the nfc central division 🏈 gotta root for 'em next year though! πŸ’ͺ

man this is like dΓ©jΓ  vu... remember when the Bears were on fire last year and made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game? 🀯 that was like, 2 years ago or something... feels like just yesterday they were playing for the title... anyway, still stinging from this one. gotta feel bad for the fans who invested so much time and energy into their team's season. but on the bright side, at least they get to pick up some top-notch talent in April πŸ’ͺ can't wait to see what kind of moves Monken & Co make in free agency... maybe next year they'll be the ones making it to the Championship Game 🀞

ugh man I'm still trying to process how that game ended 😩 the bears came so close and then just fell short it's like they had all the momentum and then... nothing πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ what was going through that team's mind during those last minutes of the game?!? did they not see the potential game-winner?!? it's like they just gave up πŸ™„ and now we have to wait till april for their draft pick 🀯 25th pick is basically nothing these days πŸ˜’

OMG I'm like totally bummed that Chicago Bears lost πŸ˜”πŸˆ. But at least their fans are still hopeful and stuff 🀞. I don't get why NFL games can't be played indoors, especially when it's freezing outside ❄️. And what's up with all these overtime games? Is it just so exciting or something? πŸ€” Anyway, I guess the Bears will just have to wait a bit longer to see if they get that top pick in the draft πŸŽ‰. Can someone explain to me why teams keep picking 25th? Is it like, really early for them to start making big moves? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

lol what a crazy game! I was on the edge of my seat watching that OT thriller 🀯 I mean, who expects a team to win in overtime like that? But for real though, the Bears had so many chances to take control and they just couldn't pull it off πŸ˜” I think they'll make some big moves in the offseason 'cause 11-6 is not enough if you wanna compete with those top-tier teams πŸ’ͺ The Rams played smart, no doubt about that. But for a team like the Bears who had all that momentum from their regular season, it's gotta be tough to swallow πŸ€•

Ugh, can't believe my Bears lost again 😩. I mean, they had a great season and everything but you'd think they'd be able to close out a game like that. 20-17 is insane for an OT game! And don't even get me started on the weather conditions, come on NFL 🀣. You're gonna have outdoor games in freezing temps? That's just crazy talk.

And now we've gotta wait till April to see if they can snag a top pick in the draft again... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I mean, I guess it's not like they haven't been doing this for years but still. It's like they're trying to make it easy for us to have low expectations πŸ˜’.

On the bright side, the team is actually pretty optimistic about the future now so that's something right? 🌞 The fans are stoked and all that, which is cool I guess. But can't we just win a championship already?! πŸ’”

man this is crazy how one game can turn everything around... the bears had it all wrapped up and then just fell apart πŸ˜”πŸˆ i mean who benched murphy like that? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ guess you gotta give the Rams credit for making a big time play in overtime tho. weather really plays a huge role in nfl games and it's crazy how it can swing the momentum like that ❄️. on the bright side, 11-6 is still an amazing record and they'll definitely be looking to make some moves in the offseason πŸ€‘πŸ’Ό

πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I mean, who needs a championship game spot when you can just kinda...exist in the playoffs, right? πŸ™„ The Bears' 11-6 record is basically like the new definition of 'meh', you know? Like, congrats on showing up and not completely embarrassing yourself? πŸ˜’

And can we talk about how the weather conditions totally changed the game? I mean, who needs a team to make actual plays when it's FREEZING outside?! ❄️ It's like, just a magic field goal try away from winning...and then the Rams had to go and be awesome. 😎

On the bright side (I guess), it means the Bears get to wait until April for their draft pick. Because what's 9 whole months of waiting when you can just kinda... forget about the season, right? πŸ€ͺ
