man, can you believe that Bill Koch's art collection just smashed all previous records at Christie's it's crazy to think that his two-part collection of Frederic Remington and other American masters went for $84.1 million with fees that's like, a whole lotta money! and the best part is that it's not just about the number, but also about preserving the legacy of Western art which is something we should all appreciate anyway, I'm not one to complain when it comes to people making bank (no pun intended ) but still, it's interesting to see how someone's passion can lead to such a massive sale... and on a side note, has anyone seen the other pieces from that collection? they seem super cool

I mean, 84 mil with fees?! that's like, a whole new level of crazy and it's not even a single piece that broke the record, but a whole collection of Remingtons and other western masters gotta say, Bill Koch's taste is impeccable and i'm low-key jealous he must've spent years curating those masterpieces and now they're getting to be enjoyed by art lovers all over and btw, that dust painting from Russell sold for 5.8 mil?! who knew?
