OMG you guys I'm literally so excited about this Black History Month thingy 🤩 it's like totally needed right now especially with all the drama going on around schools teaching African American studies... I mean I've had some of my closest friends from college who are teachers and they're just so passionate about sharing these stories with their students and helping them understand where we come from.

I've been reading a lot of books by Black authors like Opal Lee's story which is literally so inspiring I'm getting chills thinking about it 🤯 and Jarvis Givens' new book on Black History Month too! His writing style is just so beautiful and informative, I feel like I'm learning something new every time I pick up one of his books.

I wish more people could see how important this is not just for Black communities but for everyone's understanding of America's history it's like we can't move forward if we don't know where we came from and what we've been through... anyway, I'm just so grateful to be alive during this time and to have access to all the amazing resources and people who are working towards making a difference. 💖
