Blumenthal calls ICE memo on warrantless entries "legally and morally abhorrent"

🤯 just saw this news about ICE memo and I'm freaking out... how can we trust our own agents to be following the law? it's like they're making up their own rules now 😱 and what really gets me is that these people are being treated like nothing more than statistics, not human beings. I don't know what's going on in this country anymore 🤷‍♀️ but one thing's for sure: we need to be keeping a close eye on our government and making sure they're doing the right thing.

I mean, come on... a memo telling ICE agents to enter homes without a warrant? That's just basic police procedural 101 🚔. They need to get their priorities straight and follow the law. I'm not surprised this is coming out now, given all the controversy surrounding ICE's practices at the border. We've seen reports of mistreatment, overcrowding... it's like they're more interested in rounding people up than actually investigating any potential crimes.

And what's with Blumenthal's stance on investigations? Isn't that a little counterintuitive? I mean, isn't the point of investigations to get to the bottom of things? Prioritizing deportations over investigations just seems like a recipe for miscarriages of justice. We need to make sure our law enforcement agencies are doing their jobs, not just enforcing some arbitrary immigration policy. It's all about ensuring public safety and upholding the rule of law... common sense, really 🤦‍♂️.

"Those who would sacrifice liberty for security will deserve neither." 🚫😕 The whole thing with this new ICE memo is just messed up. It's like they're trying to set a bad precedent and it's not even clear if that's what they actually think they're doing. I mean, can you imagine if the government started telling cops that they could just start searching people without warrants? Chaos would ensue, right? 🤯 The system is supposed to be about following rules and protecting everyone's rights, but when you start bending those rules, it's like you're playing with fire. 🔥

Man... this ICE memo is super sketchy 🤔. I mean, think about it - agents just walking into homes without a warrant? That's some serious BS. I get that they wanna catch bad guys, but at what cost? The rule of law is in place for a reason, and this kind of thing can lead to some wild abuse of power 🔒.

I'm not gonna lie, I've seen some messed up stuff about the treatment of migrants in the US, and it's not just ICE - all these agencies seem to be playing a game of cat and mouse with people trying to seek asylum or a better life. It's like they're more interested in locking people up than figuring out how to help them.

And what really gets me is that this memo's basically saying that investigations are secondary to deportations? That doesn't add up, you know? We need agencies like ICE to be about protecting and serving the public, not just chasing down people who might not even be guilty of anything. It's all so frustrating 😩
