Bonobos can play make-believe much like children, study suggests

I think its so cool that bonobos can play make-believe like kids theyre not even that close to us in terms of brain power or anything but somehow theyve got this amazing ability to imagine things I wonder what it would be like if humans could do that too maybe we could learn how to have more fun and creative imagination

omg I'm so excited about this lol I mean who knew bonobos were such great actors? 🤣 they're like little kids playing pretend and we can learn so much from them! it's wild that they can understand what's real and what's not, and that they have this same cognitive ability as us, but in a way that's more... primal I guess. it's making me think about how we can apply some of these skills to our own relationships with each other and the world around us. like, if bonobos can just chill and imagine a grape being somewhere, maybe we should try that too? 😊🍇

I'm like totally confused by this whole thing... bonobos playing make-believe? That's so human! I mean, can we really say they're not just mimicking what they've seen humans do before? 🤔 Like, if we gave them a bunch of fake juice and said "Hey, pick the cup with the juice", would they actually know it's just pretend? It seems kinda unlikely to me...
