I'm so over these "iconic jersey retirements" 
they're just a bunch of feels for old players trying to cling to the past. Like, who cares if Derrick Rose's number 1 is retired? It's not like it's going to make his career any better or give him more credit in hindsight

with all the emotional speeches and heartfelt tributes from old teammates. Can we just fast forward to the actual ceremony already? man can you believe Derrick Rose is finally getting the respect he deserves? I've been a huge fan since he first came to Chicago back in 2011 his impact on the city was more than just basketball, it was about inspiring hope and pride for young people from all over the city . Ayo Dosunmu said it best, Rose wasn't just a great player, he made everyone want to watch basketball again
