By the end of January, over 80% of Philly's libraries will be open on Saturdays

I'm all for it! More Saturday hours at the libraries? That's a great idea, I mean who doesn't want to spend their Saturdays learning or studying or just chillin' at the library with a good book 📚👍. And it's about time too, I was always like "Why can't we have more weekend hours?" when they first cut them back in 2018... I'm glad they're bringing 'em back and even adding some new ones! The Paschalville Library being the first to reopen is nice, but I'm really hyped for the Wyoming Library starting on January 24th 🤩. This is a big win for the community and I love that it's part of an effort to make libraries more accessible... we should be supporting our local libraries more, imo 👏

idk about this one... 80% opening on saturdays by january 24th is nice but hows it funded? wasnt there some budget cuts last year that put them on weekday onlys? also, what about the remaining branches that aint gettin extended hours yet? seems like theyre just testing the waters for the rest... and whats with the strategic plan release in feb? why not sooner?

Saturday hours at libraries? Finally, something to liven up my weekday afternoons 💁‍♀️📚. I mean, who doesn't love dragging themselves out of bed on the weekends just to spend some time surrounded by dusty old books and fluorescent lights? It's not like we have better things to do with our precious free time... 😴.

But seriously, it's about time they reopen more branches. Like, 80% is a good start, but I'm sure there are still some hidden gems out there waiting for us to discover them 🤫. And hey, at least the libraries will be open when all my friends are finally done with their brunches and can spend some quality time with me... 😏.
