Chicago elementary students honor MLK, share his lessons in oratory competition

😊 The way these 8th graders from Chicago talked about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's message is giving me LIFE 🤩! They're so young and yet already speaking with such depth and passion about issues like racism, gun violence, and the importance of joy in life. Alanna Atwood's speech was especially inspiring - her words of wisdom are spot on! 🙌 It's amazing to see the next gen carrying on Dr. King's legacy and reminding us that words can be a powerful force for change 💪. The fact that they're not just speaking about these issues, but also about finding joy in life is so refreshing and hopeful 🌞. I think we could all learn from their example! 👏

Man I'm getting chills reading about these 8th graders giving it their all at this Martin Luther King Jr. tribute event 🙌💪. It's amazing how young people like Alanna and Tremond are carrying on the legacy of a civil rights icon, spreading messages of non-violent resistance, empathy, and finding joy in life 💕. Their words are truly inspiring and it's awesome that they're being recognized for their efforts with cash prizes and laptops 🎁📚. I'm proud to see these young leaders making a difference, reminding us all that our voices do matter! 👊
