Chosen Family by Madeleine Gray review โ€“ friends, lovers or something in between?

Ugh, I mean, yeah ๐Ÿ™„... the way she weaves together their story across multiple decades sounds super intense ๐Ÿ’”... but can't they just call each other? Like, what's with all the secrecy? ๐Ÿ˜’ And don't even get me started on the whole "can love between women form a new kind of partnership" vibe... it's like, duh, they're already in a family, right? ๐Ÿ‘ช... and btw, I think Medusa is way overrated ๐Ÿ. But I guess if you're into that whole psychological impact thing, then Gray's got some heavy stuff to unpack ๐Ÿคฏ...

I'm OBSESSED with this book!!! Madeleine Gray is a genius, I loved how she wove together the story of Nell & Eve's lives over multiple decades it was like reading two different books but still so connected. The way she explores complex relationships, love, and identity is SO deep and relatable, I felt all the emotions! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ“š And that metaphor with Medusa? CHILLING!!! The way Gray breaks down societal norms around female friendships is a major win in my book, it's time we give these bonds the same respect as traditional family ones. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a thought-provoking read ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’–
