A climber has succumbed to their injuries after falling approximately 300 feet from Oregon's Mount Hood. The incident occurred near the Devil's Kitchen area, a region notorious for its extreme terrain and risk of accidents.
According to eyewitnesses who reported the incident to authorities at around 9:45 a.m., they witnessed the climber plummeting towards the ground before calling 911. Unfortunately, by the time rescuers arrived, the individual was deceased. The identity of the victim has yet to be disclosed until notified by their family.

and you know what makes it even scarier? Those Devil's Kitchen areas are like, literally the worst

300 feet is insane tho, you're basically just a tiny speck on the mountain at that point 
... I mean, I'm sure their family is really gonna appreciate not getting any closure on their loved one right now. Poor guy was just trying to get that sick Instagram shot and ended up becoming a cautionary tale for all us wannabe adventurers out there

. Last year alone, there were 12 reported deaths on Mount Hood 
. That's a lot of people trying to conquer Mount Hood's toughest terrain

it's like, super scary 2 think bout. i feel bad 4 the fam & all, hope they get sum support. mount hood is def a major climb zone tho, gotta respect those adventurers who take on it
